Once I get out of the shower, I towel dry my hair and put it in a high bun. I slip into a pair of black skinny jeans and a plain grey tank top. My eyelashes get a few layers of mascara, and I leave the bathroom.
Four is sitting on the corner of the bed, he's dressed and looks like he's going somewhere. I raise my eyebrows in questioning and he smiles.
"I think we're both finding this a bit awkward now. So I thought it'd be nice to go to the Ferris wheel. The place where we had our first date." He offers. A grin forms on my lips and I nod my head.
"Yea, that sounds like a good idea." I admit. He stands up and I quickly tie my combat boots up. I grab my purse, then follow him out the door. We silently make our way up the elevator, and into the garage. He opens the passenger door for me and my cheeks heat up. It's like we're just going on a date for the first time. Four climbs in the drivers seat and backs the car out of the garage. He sends me a dazzling smile the. focusses on the road.
"So what assignment is the team on now?" I curiously question.
"There'a a drug dealer that from Mexico. He travelled into the United States to get away from the officials. We're trying to track him down." Four replies.
"To extradite him back to Mexico?" I ask.
"Yea," he confirms. I slowly nod my head and watch as he pulls up to a fast food drive thru.
"Want anything?" He asks.
"Fries and a shake, please." I smile in reply. He orders then pays and we start our journey towards the Ferris wheel. I munch on my fries and he scrunches his nose up in disgust.
"Since when did you dip fries in shakes?" He asks.
"It's so good! You have to try it!" I exclaim and quickly shove one in his face. He dodges it and I frown.
"That's looks nasty." He chuckles.
"Try it. I bet you'll like it." I pout. He eyes my lips and sighs. He opens his mouth and I pop the fry in. He chews it for a few seconds and frowns.
"It's not bad, but it's not good." He comments. I roll my eyes at his lie and continue eating. By the time we get there I'm done with my food, so I put it in the bag and set it on the seat as I get out of the car.
"Perfect timing. The sun should be setting soon." He says and begins leading me towards the huge Ferris wheel. I smile at the memories and he motions for me to climb first. Probably so if I slip he can catch me. He hasn't changed much since I left. Except for the fact that he's musclier, and his beard is growing out a bit.
His hand rests on my waist as we climb the ladder. He seems to have gotten over his fear of heights, or at least he's not showing it.
By the time we get to the top, the sky is a collage of different colors. Oranges and purples and reds. A smile forms on my lips and I sit down on the long platform. Four stays behind me, his hand still placed on my hip. He gently turns me around to look at him and a small gasp leaves my mouth.
He's bent down on one knee, his face holds nothing but worry. And he has a small ring box in one hand.
"I know that we've been away from each other for a few months. But, you are the love of my life. Every minute that you weren't by my side was absolute torture. Tris, I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to do this right, I want to give you your dream wedding and have little mini me's with you, I want it all.... So Beatrice Prior, will you marry me?" He softly rants. My heart thumps against my chest at a hundred miles per hour. My hands are shaking and I'm pretty sure I'm crying.
"Is that even a question? Of course I'll marry you!" I exclaim in shock. A grin spreads across his face and he takes my left hand in his. He slides a ring on to my finger and I jump into his arms. His arms tighten around me and I snuggle into his chest.
"I love you Tobias." I quietly whisper.
"I love you too." He murmurs and kisses my forehead. I smile up at him and everything flashes in my mind.
Planning our wedding together.
Walking down the isle towards him.
Buying our first house together.
Furniture shopping.Fighting over stupid little things that don't matter, but we'll end up laughing about it later.
Little kids with our matching faces running around our house.
It all flashes before my eyes and for the first time in a while. I realize that I do want that. I want what my parents had. I want to marry the man I love and I want the perfect, white picket fence story.
And I think I'm getting it.
The end.
🚨<I'm so mean. That's not the end>🚨
How was the mini heart attack I just gave you?😋
