When I wake up four is sleeping next to me. His mouth is slightly ajar and small snores are coming from deep in his throat. I smile and he pulls me closer to his side, in his sleep.

"Four." I whisper and peck his jaw. He stays sleeping and I sigh.

"Four." I urge. He still doesn't respond so I lean up and press my lips to his. He immediately kisses back and rolls us over so he's hovering above me.

"We have to get up." I state and pull away. He frowns and looks down at my lips.

"I wish I could wake up to this every morning." he murmurs. I smile and quickly peck his lips.

"Me too." I agree and wiggle out from underneath him. I go to my closet and quickly change into a new outfit. When I exit four is no longer there. He's most likely getting dressed in his apartment.

I grab a water bottle and an apple. Once I eat I throw my hair into a ponytail and go to brush my teeth. I leave the room and when I get in the hallways fours door opens. He exits his apartment and looks down at me with a huge smile.

"Perfect timing." he smirks and kisses my forehead. I smile and he links our hands together.
"We can work in my apartment again if you want." he adds.

"Won't people get suspicious?" I ask.
"Nah, Uriah and Chris are doing the same thing." he shrugs. A smile works it's way to my face and I nod.

"Are they like a thing?" I ask as we go into his apartment.
"I think so. They just haven't admitted it yet." He replies.

"I'll get it out of her later." I state with a smile.
"Speaking of later. Uriah asked me to invite you to his party tonight. Apparently I'm in charge of dragging you there when you say no." he smirks.
"I don't like parties." I say and scrunch my nose up to show my disgust.

"Cmon, it'll be fun." he teases.
"That didn't sound very convincing." I reply as I set my laptop on. He chuckles and does the same.

"I'll be there. I'm being forced to go, and it'd make me happy if you came with me." he pouts with puppy dog eyes.

"No not those eyes." I whimper and cover my eyes. He tugs my hands away and stares me in the eyes.
"Please? You don't want your boyfriend to be bored and alone at a party do you?" He questions in a hurt voice.

"Damn you." I growl and yank my wrists from his hold. A smile lights up his face and I glare at him.
"You're cute when you're mad." he smirks and begins typing on his computer.

"What type of party is it?" I ask as I work.

"Uriah's party's always have loud music, alcohol, and drugs. I don't know how he doesn't get in trouble, but he somehow gets away with it... I think it has something to do with his parents. They were deeply loved here." he replies.

"He never talks about them." I state.
"He was younger when they died. Zeke remembers them more." he replies with a shrug. I realize that I'm distracting him from his work and I quickly shut up.

*Six Hours Later*

"Everything leads to a dead end." I groan. Four looks over at me and he smiles.

"We're going to get to the bottom of this. It might take time, by i won't stop until I get you some answers." he promises. My heart clenched and I kiss him.

"Thank you. I couldn't have asked for a better partner." I tease. He chuckles and his phone rings. He answers it and puts it to his ear.

"Hello?" He asks. Silence takes over and he grabs a pen. He scribbles an address down then frowns.
"Yea, we'll be right on it." he states and hangs up.
"Who was that?" I ask.
"Eric. He wants us to check out this scene." he replies and stands up. He grabs his jacket then puts the paper in his pocket.

"A murder scene?" I ask.
"Yea, it's right down the street." he replies and puts his gun holster on.

"I'll be right back. I have to go get my things." I state and rush to my apartment. I put my gun in the waistband of my jeans, then slip a knife into my combat boots. I put my phone in my pocket then tie my hair into a ponytail. As I leave the room I slip my badge over my neck.

"Ready?" Four asks.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I answer and he chuckles as we walk to the elevators.

"There's a witness. Eric said he's shaken up pretty badly." he informs me.

"How many are dead?" I question.
"Two. They were the kids parents." he replies. We enter the elevator and he looks down at me.

"You don't have to see the bodies. You can deal with questioning the witness if you want. I don't want to bring back any bad memories." he murmurs worriedly.

"I'll be fine." I promise.
"You're sure?" He asks and tucks a stray piece of hair behind my ear.

"I'm sure." I repeat and the elevator dings. We exit, and go to the car. Four punches the address into the gps then begins driving.
