Chapter 12

Elise's Pov

I helped John clean the house, I love and Enjoy cleaning. And about mother she is still unconcious. "Oh, Elise this is my sister leyla. The one who saw you and your mother on the shore" John said, interrupting my thoughts.

I looked at the 7 year old girl, she's so adorable with her bunny haircut "nice to meet you, beautiful!" Leyla said while hugging my waist.

I chuckled and holds her "nice to meet you too, thank you for helping me and my mother" I said while looking at her with a smile.

She smiled back. Oh, her bunny smile too. "Brother, Can I bring her to my room?" Leyla said, pleading. John nodded "alright, but promise you wont mess your things around. I already cleaned it all."

Leyla nodded "Promise! Now come sister, let's go inside" she said dragging me inside her small room, painted in beautiful pink. "Your room is too cute like you" I said while looking around.

She giggles "Not as cute as you" she showed me her books about the bunny and his carrots "oh, I thought you play toys instead you read books?" I said and she nodded. "I also play but sometimes, I really like reading books! Read this one it's my favorite" Leyla said excitedly while giving me the book.

I take the book and we both read it, laughing with her as she told me how her first reading was. Then later she got tired and slept beside me.

I then carry her slowly and places her in her bed, tucking the blanket and placing a light kiss on her forehead. "You're going to be a great mother in the future" I jump in surprise. John chuckles.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" John replied and I nodded, looking down embarrassed "it's fine, I wanted her to sleep comfortable".

John looked at me "since you take good care of my sister, I promised to you that i'll also take care of your mother". Looking at John and I smiled.

Hours passed I helped John and get the basket "no no, i'll be the one to do it" I shake my head and chuckles "I'm good at this, I always do this at my home. Let me" John sighed and nodded.

"Okay, the trees of fruits is outside the village. Are you sure you wont get lost?" I nodded and smiled "If i do, I'll find my way back here" I replied and John smiled back.

Holding the basket as I got out from the house, I start to walk while looking around the village "it's too beautiful here, a wide village" I said thoughtfully while walking out from the village and look for the fruits.

While looking around then I saw a deer, I smile and walked towards it slowly for it not to run away.

I touched its head and caressing it softly Then suddenly the deer runs away. Seeing an arrow shoot in the tree infront of me I quickly stood up and run away. A hunter!

I kept running, and I can feel someone chasing me and shooting arrows, I jumped and run around to avoid getting hit. I stumble to the ground as my foot got hit by the rock.

I tried to stand up then suddenly a cold sharp sword placed behind my shoulder, I freezed "what are you doing here, witch?" Turning my head to find a man pointing his sword at me.

"I- i'm not a witch" I said while looking at him. he looks back at me "who are you? What are you doing here?" He asks while still pointing his sword.

I looked up to him "um, can you take that awa-" he interrupted me while pointing his sword closer to me "I asked you a question, witch" he come closer to me, the tip of his sword on my throat.

"I- I live around here and I just want to harvest some fruits!" I said, closing my eyes tightly then he take his sword back away from me "forgive me, my lady. I just got used finding beautiful women and consider them as a witch" he replied.

I looked away, flustered "now, let me help you up." He said lifting the rock and I sit up slowly "you can walk?" I nodded my head. "Yeah, I can" I replied.

"So, you were saying you want to harvest fruits? I haven't seen you around here, I'll take you there come on" He said walking to the other direction.

I slowly followed behind him, I heard him say "The name's L" I furrow, i said what my mind says "What kind of name is that?" He then chuckle. "It's easy. Just call me L simple, right?" I nodded my head.

He hummed in response, while keep walking and I followed "You're a quiet one, what a nice harvest. Mostly girls around the village fancied me, trying to talk to me when i dont want to" He said and I keep following him.

"Well, im actually amazed of how you changed your threatening move into a kind and talkative guy" I replied, only to receive a chuckle from his lips.

While I keep following him, we arrived at the apple tree. I smiled and turned around to look at him "you lead me this far, Thank you" He nodded, smiling a little and bows a bit "my pleasure, my lady"

I picked the apple and a few minutes we end up talking to each other, looking down to my basket full of different kind of fruits. "Well, I should head back now." I said, looking up to him as he said "Are you sure, my lady? I don't want you get lost so just come with me, I'll lead you out of the forest"

I sighed and nodded "alright" I followed him again, looking around as I try to remember the path while we keep talking, laughing "we arrived" he said, looking around the village.

"Yes, Thank you so much for not killing me, for leading me to the fruit trees and for bringing me back" I said, with a warm smile.

He nodded, keeps looking at me with a smile "Always here for you, miss..?" I replied "Elise, my names Elise". L smiles and nods his head, mumbling "elise".

I smile shyly and look around "gotta go, bye and thanks again" he looked at me and smiles "I'll try meeting you again, miss Elise!" L shouted as I got far away from his sight.

Keeping a smile on my face, He reminded me of Leo. Well wait. why is it always Leo? Because he's name is L?

I ignored my thoughts, coming back and opening the door, meeting John "elise! Your mom is awake!".
