Chapter 27

Elise's Pov

After spending time with Louis, I walked downstairs with him and he started to lead me to the Ballroom. I was nervous at first but then He told me to calm down and I did.

Louis placed his hand on my waist and I place my hand on his shoulder as our both free hand held each other, making me shiver. Dancing around with him as the new music plays.

I smiled and Louis too, dancing around with him. Holding his shoulder slightly then he held my hand with his as he turned me around. I look up to his green eyes which I can clearly see through his mask.

The moment he looked into my eyes too, he slowly stopped dancing and kept looking into my eyes. I slowly look down and a blush form in my cheek then a hand brushes my chin and lifting it up, making me Look at him.

He started to lean in, I slowly move back slightly and looked down, whispering "Excuse me" I said while bowing and turn around, leaving Louis alone in the ballroom floor while the others dance with their partners.

What should I even do? My heart belongs to Arthur, I cant try looking around for someone because my heart tells me that Arthur is the one for me even if he is getting married.

I walk to the exit of the ballroom, to the Garden. I gasped at how beautiful this castle is and how even the Garden is so neat and no messy leaves around the tree. Do they always clean it every minute?

Caressing the red rose, it looks so fresh watered like it has been showered for the last seconds. I looked up to the night sky. Its not even raining "Why are you here?".

I turned around quickly to find Arthur removing his mask revealing himself "sorry if I frightened you, but what are you doing here? You are supposed to go and enjoy the ball" . I nodded "well, yeah about that. I'm actually enjoying myself".

Arthur furrows and placed his arms behind him like a gentleman "you mean wondering around makes yourself enjoy, interesting" he said and I nodded with a smile "Yes, very much. Oh and what are you doing here?" I asks.

He smiled slightly "I was bored so I walked outside and saw you here wondering about how the roses are freshly- watered" Arthur said with a chuckle. "Yeah, I was so confused of how still fresh they are!" I said adding with a laugh.

Arthur chuckle "and about them, I was the one who poured some water in the roses before you arrived here." He replied, I nodded and smiled "the garden is so beautiful!" I exclaimed. "Like you" he said and I laugh "stop flattering me, will you?". Arthur shook his head and laugh.

Arthur held my hand as he drag me with him "I'm going to show you something" he said and I nodded as he lead me further, looking around and gasped at the beautiful different kinds of fruits and flowers, the greeny grass.

I smiled widely and sat on the bench, Arthur sat beside me "Everything here is so beautiful and I could say that this is a dream when i wake up" I said, making Arthur laughed. "If it is, do you want me to wake you up?".

I chuckled and nodded "Yes, do something to wake me up!" I said while closing my eyes, waiting for him to pinch my face or pour water on me but I feel nothing, I opened my eyes then his lips are placed on mine.

My eyes widened in shock, I did not move and I was so shock to just let him kiss me. He slowly pulled away from the kiss to look at my reaction. I was about to say something but he placed his finger on my lips.

I hear scream from afar, we both looked at the voice to find the woman who brought the fruits. Princess Victoria! She quickly ran towards us. The people from inside the ball heard her voice then they opened the door to see who it is.

Victoria ran towards us, making me stand up from the bench and she slapped me so hard. Arthur widened his eyes and stood up too, grabbing Victoria's wrist "What are you doing!".

I held my cheek, while Arthur held her wrist tightly "how could you kiss him! How could you kiss my future husband!" She said angrily while trying to release the hold from Arthur "Victoria, Stop!".

Then right then Louis came and saw us, Louis tried pulling Victoria away. While Arthur noticed his father coming towards us to see the problem. Arthur quickly hid me behind the bush. "What's happening here!".

Victoria released the grip of Louis, as she walked towards the King "Your majesty that woma-" her word were cutted off as he saw the red marks on her wrist "what happened to you, who caused this!" He asks loudly then Victoria pointed at Louis.

He looked at Louis, slowly walking towards him then he smacked his hand to Louis' cheek. Everybody gasped to see the scene including me. "Ungrateful child, I gave you a chance but you lost it. I King Henry of Asirald shall unamed you as Prince Louis of Asirald!" He shouted for all to hear.

I stood up from the bush, widened my eyes. Arthur looked shock and also his mother "Henry! Stop this, take back what you said!" Arthur's mother said. The king shook his head "I gave Louis a chance because you want him back home but now, I also want him to be banished from this Island" he said.

Arthur looked at his Father angrily "then if you say so, I will leave and pretend that I do not know you. I hate you Henry! I hate you Eleanor! I hate you Arthur. I hate you all!!" Louis screamed angrily and turned around, leaving the Garden as he slammed the door open and walked inside the castle to the exit.

Arthur's mother cried loudly and tries to follow him when The king stopped her. Tears streaming my face, I walk slowly then faster, following Louis. I looked around to find him walking out the castle. I gasp and follow him.

Tears more in my eyes, looking around and desperate to find him but I lost him. I tried looking for him every corner and found him walking towards the big boat as he climb on. I gasp trying to stop him. I walk faster "Louis, stop you dont have to do this!" I screamed for him to hear while I kept running closer to the ship.

The big ship start to depart from the land, I freaked out and run faster "Louis!" I yell then I saw him look at my direction "Elise" he said for me to hear. "Louis, you dont have to do this! Please climb off and lets talk this together just the two of us!" I said while tears streaming down my cheek.

He shake his head "I understood and learned well that I was destined to be alone, I cant stop the ship but I hope to see your face again" he said, the ship getting far from the land "Louis, please no!" I screamed and grabbed a small boat, but heavy as I kept trying to pull it towards the ocean.

The little boat finally on the water, I climb on and got a paddle. Starting to pladdle to follow Louis, I cant leave him alone without someone by his side. I kept paddling then I heard a voice from the back "Elise! What are you doing" I felt that it was Arthur, I ignored him and kept paddling to reach closer to the ship.

I heard a splash, I turned my head to find Arthur swimming towards me. I try to paddle away from him, not wanting him to stop me but he grab the paddle, making me stop, and he climb on the boat I am in.

"What are you doing! You cant go to him, its dark out there!" He said and I shook my head, tears in my eyes "No! Louis is there, I have to follow him! Please he is alone!" I said desperately, but Arthur hugged me tightly "No, He's gone. He wont come back!" He said.

I try to ignore him and trying to push him away from me to start paddling but he kept holding me tightly in his arms, I cried more and tears in my eyes "No please! Let me go!" Arthur shake his head while still calming me down.

I gasped through my tears, looking at the ship where Louis is slowly fading away and the fogs making it hard to see the ship, I kept crying while Arthur held me in his arms.

Louis is gone, he is never coming back.

That's the only thought in my mind while I cry and slowly fell tired, making me sleep in Arthur's arms.
