Chapter 32

Elise's Pov

I opened my book, reading with Leyla. "Leyla, I got you some surprise!" John yelled at the front door, Leyla gasped as she saw a chocolate "Brother, where did you get this!" She asks while pulling the chocolate out of his grip.

I chuckled and watch them "I got them from your big sister bella, thank her." John said while whispering, I looked up to see Bella coming inside "oh, hi little one" she said while smiling.

Leyla hug her waist then look up to her "Thank you for the chocolates but Elise is still my big sister" Leyla said and bella laugh "alright, um John can I go now? My father needs me" she asks and John nodded "yeah sure, bye" John replied while pecking her lips and Leyla look away in disgust.

"Kiss outside, not here" I said while laughing and then they quickly walk out. I sit back down and Leyla beside me "sister have some" she said while giving me a chocolate, I smiled "Thanks" I continue to read the book while eating chocolate.

Minutes passed, Leyla slept beside me. I slowly stood up and placing a blanket over her small body then walking out of the room "Mother, I'll help you" I said and taking the broom as I swept the floor, she smiled "oh, thank you dear" she said.

I was sweeping the floor when a knock on the door was heard, mother peeked on the window and saw a woman "oh, its just a customer. Go and ask how many box she wants, I cant leave this cooking" she said and I nodded.

Walking outside while covering my face "Good afternoon, ma'am how many boxes do you want?" I asks with a smile. "Well, I want you to come with me" she said, I furrowed "no, ma'am. I dont want walking away from my house" I said.

She then remove her cloak, I gasp. It's Arthur's mother. She smiled wickedly "is it because you dont want everyone here to know that you're a whore? Seducing my son and distracting him to make you his queen!" She shouted and grabbed my hair while dragging me into the forest.

I closed my eyes in pain, trying to stop her as she kept dragging me then pushing me to the ground. I held the ground and stand up slowly "listen here, whore! If I ever see you with my son again, I won't hesitate to kill your family" she said, tears falling into my eyes.

I shook my head "please, dont hurt my family. I- I'll leave Arthur!" I said with my breaking voice while looking down , feeling bad for Arthur "Thats right because if I see you with him again, I will do something to your family that you wont like" she said while grabbing my hair tightly, making me look at her.

Tears fall from my eyes, I closed my eyes and yelp as she kept gripping my hair "let me go please it hurt" she then grip me more tightly "Whore dont you tell me what to do, listen if I see your face again. I wi-" her words were cutted off as she was pushed down, I look up to see mother and John.

I shook my head and stand up slowly, walking towards them "mom, no please. Dont make any scene here and lets just go home" I said through my tears and John held me "were here for you and we cant just accept this woman to hurt you" John said.

I shake my head again "You are the Queen of Asirald right? I think you are not really fit to be the queen because you are cruel!" Mom shouted then Arthur's mother stood up "Dont you raise your voice at me, commoner who's child's a whore! I can banish you from here!" She shouted then slapped mother.

I gasped and held mother from the back, but what I didnt expect mother slapped her back "Call my daughter a whore and your gonna taste the blood from your mouth" Mother said, I hold her and trying to pull her back "mother thats enough, lets go now please lets go home" I said while dragging her but she stopped me.

Eleanor looked at my mother then grabbed her hair, I widened my eyes and tried pulling her away but then Mother grab her hair "I will banish you from this Island!" She shouted and Mother gripping her hair tightly "you are just powerful because you have an army!".

I screamed and tried to separate them but they kept on screaming each other while grabbing their hair "mother please no, stop!" . "Your daughter is a whore! A whore!" mother slapped her, making her lip bleed. "M-my lips!"

John held mother away, while Queen Eleanor was looking the three of us angrily "you've just done a great danger to yourself!" She shouted then ran away. I gasped and hug mom "oh, mother!"

Mother hugged me back tightly "Oh, elise. I wont allow those royals to hurt you again, Im so sorry!" She said and I shook my head, tears in my eyes "no, mom I'm fine but you're not." I said while looking at her. "Lets go home"

After minutes we got back home, treating mother's wound and she hissed in pain. "Mother, you shouldn't have done that" I said slowly. Mom shook her head "she deserved it, she hurt my daughter" Mother replied while holding my cheek.

I look down "I'm fine mother, but before you came she told me to stay away from Arthur" I said and mom shook her head "dont follow what that crazy woman said, follow your heart" she said while holding my hand to my heart.

I nodded, smiling slightly at her "Yes, Mother now let me continue treat your wound" I said while treating her lip.

Arthur's Pov

I saw mother going inside the back door with the bruised lip, where have she been? Then later she came out all fine, she look in my way "Arthur" walking towards her "Mother, what happened to your lip?" I asks and she furrows.

"There is nothing wrong, what are you talking about?" She asks. "I saw you walking inside the back door with the bruised lip" I said and she gulped "well, its just I fell" I scoffed "fell? On the lip?".

She shook her head "Arthur, Im fine. I just fell and thats all, I'm going to talk to your Father" mother replied and I nodded simply.

I walked out from the Castle and goes to Elise's house, I was so excited to see her. Knocking on the door but there was no answer "Elise?" I asks while knocking. I frown as I recieved no answer.

Walking through the back of the house and peeked inside Elise's room to find her just laying down with a book, I knocked on her window and she flinched.

Elise turned around and shock to see me here, I smiled and waved at her, she then look away and walk out of her room, I furrowed confusedly and I thought she will open the door so I walk back to the front door.

Waiting the door to open but nothing happened, I furrowed more confusedly, I truly saw Elise looking at me through the window at her room but why isnt she opening the door? I knock on the door again "Elise, I know you are in there. Open the door" I said and still no answer.

I thought maybe she was mad at me for something for like not giving her attention? So I knocked on the door again and hoping to recieve an answer but nothing, So I move back slightly and kicked the door wide opened.

A gasp was heard, I turned my head to see Elise, her mother, John and Leyla sitting together on the couch silently. I walk towards them then her mother quickly closed the door "Arthur, you are here" She said.

I nodded, looking at them and frown confusedly "yes, is there something wrong?" I asks and Elise quickly hug me tightly "oh, Arthur" Elise said while crying, I furrow my brows more.

Holding Elise and comforting her "what's wrong, your all confusing me" I said and Elise pull away "Arthur, your mother attacked Elise just hours ago and I cant help but to fight back for my daughter" elise's mother said.

What, my mother attacked Elise? I held Elise close to me with her waist, and anger rises inside of me "No, its fine, Im so sorry for what my mother had done to you" I said and trying to calm myself, she shook her head "Arthur, she threatened me to leave you or she'll kill my family but I didnt listen b-because I love you" She said with her voice crack. I clenched my fist at the thought of my mother, my own mother hurting the one I love.

I held her and hug her tightly, kissing her forehead "I'm here for you, Elise. Even if she's my mother or not, I will defend what is mine" I said while holding her close, she burry her face into my chest. I cant believe mother is doing this to her! But I dont need to tell mom what she have done because it'll make Elise and her family doom but I will do my best to help Elise and her family.
