Chapter 21

Elise's Pov

Opening my eyes slowly, I sit up slowly from the bed. "Elise? Oh, Elise! You're awake!" I turned my head to see Mom walking quickly to me, holding my hand.

"M-mother?" Mom nodded and holding my hand "Yes, Darling I'm here" she said, I looked around "What happened?" I asked, all I knew everything was black and I fainted.

"You were black out yesterday, I dont know what happened but Im never going to forgive that rain for making you sick!" Mom said worriedly.

I shake my head "Mom, it's fine please dont be worried I-" she cutted me off "don't be worried? You fainted and you asked me not to worry, i worry you everytime you go out!" She said, I sigh and hugged her "I'm sorry, mother I promise to take care of myself again" I said and she hugged me back.

Mom released a sigh and pulls back from the hug "now, go get some rest. You needed it. It's almost 6 and I have to make dinner" I nodded, I definitely need rest. Laying my head back down and Mom tucks the blanket to my waist and kissing my forehead before leaving the room.

Louis Pov

I got so much worried of Elise, I haven't seen her in the forest. Everyday she goes there to pick some fruits and today I dont see her anywhere. I looked around the forest and think. Maybe she's in the house.

Walking back to the end of the village where Elise' house were placed far from the other houses in the village. Knocking the door and then a Man opened it.

He looked surprised to see me here, thats always the reaction every people when they saw me or Arthur. I look at him "You know Elise?" I asked and he nodded his head, not speaking.

I turned my head and walked inside, without his permission. I own everything in this Island and it's not a big deal that I walked into random houses without the owner's permission.

Looking around for Elise and spotted a Woman in her 40's. "Oh, and who are you. Sir?" She asks and I replied "My name's Louis and I am looking for Elise". She looked surprised and confused. "What do you need from my daughter?" She asks.

This time im the one who looked surprised, so she is the mother of my Elise. My future mother-in-law "Oh, forgive me for asking directly to you. I'm a frien-" I cutted my sentence and looked at her then continued my sentence for a few seconds "the lover of your daughter".

Elise's Pov

Waking up to hear a sound of knock on my door, I sit up "come in" I said then the door opened revealing Louis. What is he doing here? "Louis, what are you doing here?" I asked and he sit on the chair infront of me.

"I came to see you, I didn't realized that you fainted yesterday at night when you came back home. I should've not let you leave the Badeaux Manor." Louis said while he held my hand.

I shaked my head, giving him a reassuring smile "louis, look at me now. I am fine and It's nothing to worry about because I am here, talking to you" I said and Louis smiled "You're right, But I cant deny the fact that I went to the forest to look for you but you weren't there made me worried" He said.

I frowned, looking up to him "you dont have to look for me, everyday we always see each other" I said adding with a laugh, we always see and talk each other without planning to. We both talk about things when It's time for him to leave.

"I would love to talk and spend time with you for eternity, Elise but I really need to go. I had to go eat dinner" Louis said, I nodded then right then Mom entered the room "You don't have to go so early, Come and Join with us" Mom said.

I smiled "oh, mother this is Louis. My friend that I told you that I always met in the forest while I pick out some fruits everyday." I said and she looked at me with a slight smirk.
