Chapter 13

Arthur's Pov

I didn't stop looking for Elise and her mother, they are nowhere to be found. I searched every Island, but never found them. Where are they?

Looking around the ship, too dark always foggy around. And I asked many people from every Island but they did not reply and just drag their family back inside the house.

Seeing this, makes me want to kill Gabriel again and again.

'Oh, my elise where are you?' I asked to myself.

Elise's Pov

I ran quickly inside the room, revealing my mother laying down weakly while looking at the window "mother! You're awake" I said kneeling down and holds her hand.

She looked at me, smiling slightly as she felt my hand holding hers "child, I'm glad you are okay" I nodded my head, tears in happiness.

"You got me so worried, mother!" I said and hug her tightly, she then hisses in pain. I quickly let go of the hug "sorry, I was so happy that you're awake" I said, still holding her hand.

Mother chuckles and holds me "it's fine as long as its you, you can hug me so tight" I laughed and shakes my head "no, you'll get hurt. Now go get some rest, mother I'll bring you some hot soup" she nodded, resting her head back.

After minutes, I came back with a hot soup. with John and Leyla. Smiling while I walk inside the room "mother, I know you look confuse but trust me. They are good person, they are the one who found us in the shore"

Mom looked up and down to John "they're not pirates in disguise?" I shake my head, chuckling "I promise you, they are a good person. This is John and Leyla his sister" I said.

Looking at mom as she nodded slowly "I see, I trust you" I smiled. Then I slowly fed mother, blowing the hot soup and bringing the spoon in her mouth.

Mother smiled "that is so kind of you, child but who made this amazing soup?" I smiled and look at John, then mom smiled to John "that was the best soup, Thank you" John smiled "My pleasure, Ma'am. Since your daughter has take good care of my sister then I promised her that i'll also take care of you" he replied.

I smiled so happily, I never felt so happy in my life. I held John's hand and looked at mother "maybe we can all be family together" I said.

John looked at me agreeing and also my mother, Leyla looked so happy "yes! I have a sister now, bye brother!" Leyla said while dragging me to her room.

We all laughed together, enjoying this happy moments with my new family.

Hours later..

I held the basket on my waist, looking at mother "i'm going to the village" I said and mother looked worried "you won't get lost, child?" I shake my head. "I'll find my way back here if i do" i said "won't be long". Opening the door and walk out.

I feel little hands holding mine, looking down to find Leyla "i'll come with you, sister" I smiled and holds back her hand, walking around the village as I buy some food.

And about the money, John gave me so I can buy us food in the market since I always wanted to go around.

Looking around the market as I finish buying food with Leyla, holding her small little hand as we walk back our way home.

Then someone grab me from my arm, looking up to the person as he said "come, join us miss for our event" I smiled and nodded, but he shouldn't need to grab me by the arm.

Leyla holding my hands tightly and say "no, don't come sister. Let's go back home" then I was about to reply, the person who grabbed me by the arm interrupted her "Just go home, kid. come on miss" he said grabbing me again through the crowds. Making me lose sight of Leyla.

Oh, gosh leyla! "Hey, let go of me" I said and he looked at me "Just come, miss" he said forcing me. I refused and try to release from his grip.

Then he push me slightly infront of the crowd, standing in this big box, I look around and people looking at me. I look at the other girl younger than me being pushed beside me.

I hold her steady for her not to stumble "are you okay?" I asks and she nodded I looked around and asks again "what is happening?" She looked at me "It's an event, about people who belong outside the village" i frowned confusedly

When I was about to reply, I stay silent as the person who forced me in this big stage spoke "Now, this are the examples of the people who belong outside!" He said while laughing, then the crowd slightly laugh.

I can hear John from the crowd "elise!" I try to look for him, I feel ashamed. I looked down, not wanting to face anyone. Am i disgusting for them?

Then all of a sudden everybody goes silent as I saw L walking up infront and grabbing his sword out, hearing him say "i'll cut your throat if you do this kind of event again" L said while pointing his sword to the person who forced me here.

The person freezed, not moving while he closes his eyes. Is L the captain of this village? Why everybody so afraid of him.

I snapped out of my thoughts as I saw L removing his cloak and walked towards me, placing the cloak around my shoulder. Looking at him confusedly.

"Let's go" he said then holds me softly, dragging me out of the village to the forest.

He let me sit on the rock, still looking down. I whisper to myself, making him hear me "Am I disgusting as an outsider for you who lived here?" L looked at me and shake his head "You don't know the real world, do you?" He said.

And I shake my head, still looking down then L said while holding my chin up for me to look at him "not all of the people have a good heart, I didn't know you were from another Island but you are special"

I looked at him, tears in my eyes as I heard the voice in my head 'foreigner, disgusting from another Island' then L quickly hugged me, keeping me in his arms.

"Don't listen, just only to me. You are a special person, Elise." He said while keeping me close in his arms "I will never leave you again" I closed my eyes, resting in his arms.

Arthur's Pov

I placed the ship hiddenly behind the mountain, hopping off and I breathe the fresh air, I arrived in my kingdom. This is the only close Island, but i did not believe they were here. But I'll try and look without anyone noticing me.

Looking around the forest, then I look surprised to see Louis but not only him but with a women whos back facing me. Louis never had a women with him in this kind of situation. Only in bed but not in this place.

I slowly walked towards them "Louis" I called him then he slowly turned around, he looked surprised as well to see me here then that's when the women turned around.
