Chapter 24

Elise's Pov

I dont know who to believe now, Arthur or Louis. But since I heard Louis explanation, I'll hear about Arthur next. Mother helped me go to the secret doors into the Palace through the Library, I hid behind walls as I saw maids cleaning the floor infront of me.

The other maid looked around and I got the chance and run quickly inside the main hall with silent footsteps. I looked around and gasp at the high stairs and many doors but different rooms, how am I going to find Arthur!

Then I have an idea, picking a maid clothes from the kitchen and wore it, walking around and searched every doors. "Um excuse me, I'm new here. Can you tell me where Prince Arthur is?" I asks the maid cleaning and she answered "last floor and right side in the 7th room" I nodded with a smile "Thank you".

I walk upstairs, my feet getting tired but I kept walking then I reached the last floor. I look for the 7th room and found it, knocking on the door. "Leave my room or I swear I'll kill you" I did not listened and opened the door. Then suddenly a knife was thrown to the wall beside my head. "Elise, what are you doing here?" He asks and I just froze, trying to figure out what just happened.

"I'm sorry, I didnt mean to scare you" Arthur said while walking towards me "how did you get here?" He asks again and this time I answered "I came for you to tell me the truth" I said, making Arthur furrows.

"Elise, I thought you never want to see me again" He said and I looked down "Arthur, I wanted to know the truth please tell me honestly" I said and he looked at me "After we talked I came back to the Palace and asked Louis if he was the one who planned to tell you about me and he did, after that I said something the truth about himself and his feelings, he lost it and hit me first" Arthur said while looking at me in the eyes, hoping that i would believe him.

I released a deep sigh "Are you sure that's the truth?" I asks and he nodded "so all this time, Louis was lying to me? But why" I said and Arthur looked at me "he's interested in you, Elise and he's not gonna stop if he wont get you" Arthur said, While I furrowed. "What does he like about me anyway?" I asked.

Arthur chuckled "you're kind and sweet, beautiful, caring that makes a cold heart melt. Louis has grown up with no love although he was noisy and the annoying one to me. But he found you, he wants you to be his so he can live forever with you" he said and I shiver at the thought of Louis wanting me.

Arthur sighed and held me, making him hug me "please, believe everything I said. It is the truth" He said and I thought for a second before hugging him back "I believe you, Arthur and forgive me for slapping you". I said, looking down then he lift my chin up.

"It's alright, and honestly you were the first woman to slap me" he said and I laughed, caressing his cheek "im so sorry, I shouldn't do that. I was so angry and thought that you really hit him first!" I said and Arthur laughed "I'm fine really!" He said while holding his heart. We both laughed together.

I fell into his bed, looking up to him with wide eyes as he hovered above me "Arthur what are you doing?" I asks and placing my palm to his chest "what else im going to do?" He said with a smirk, a blush formed in my cheek, looking away from him.

"Dont look away from me, Elise" Arthur said huskily while holding my chin, making me look at him. Right then I bursted out in laughter "hey, I was being serious!" Arthur said while I kept laughing "I cant help it! You look funny when you do it" I said while still laughing. Arthur tickled me and I widened my eyes "no, stop!" We both laughed and play together, after an argument hours ago.

Queen Eleanor's Pov

After watching Arthur came back and told me he never found Louis, made me cry more. I cant believe my stupid husband didn't care. I know we were both forced marriage but atleast why cant he show some care and sympathy towards his sons?

I wipe my tears away, thinking of the name Elise "how could you destroy my family, Elise. I promised to destroy your life too, I dont care if my sons love you but I will destroy your family" I said while thinking of that commoner who steals my son's heart and breaking their relationship as a brotherhood in the same time.

I will make an end of that woman and her family.
