Chapter 26

Elise's Pov

Today is the day for the Masquerade ball, Mom, John and I are going to the ball. Leyla wanted to come but she really needs to stay. The king is really strict and not allowing children because it might be a mess in his castle.

So leyla stayed with her new friend that stayed alone with her mother at home, But the surprise they did made me and Mother completely shock. They gave me a beautiful but simple dress. I was supposed to decline because it is too much.

But well, Mother was the one who accepted it and gave me the dress. She also got a dress from her mother which is my grandmother who once attended a masquerade ball.

The dress is old for this century but I helped mom clean it and made it beautiful and newly designs. She was proud of it and decided to wear it as a memory of my Grandmother. I never seen Grandma but I felt that her story was also like me.

Mom always talk about her and it makes me want to see and talk my Grandma, If only I was born early then I could talk to her.

Preparing the beautiful dress im wearing for the ball and also Mom, I dont know for John. He wants privacy when he prepares it like he was changing clothes or what.

Coming out of my room and twirl the beautiful gown, I heard a gasp from my mother in the side "Elise, is that really you?" She asks and I smiled brightly, nodding "Yes, mother" I replied.

She walked towards me, cupping my face "My dear daughter, you look like a different person!" She exclaimed, I chuckled then John came out of his room "ah, who is this!" He said while backing out.

Mother laughed "It's elise! She really is naturally beautiful but you look like a different person in a dress" she said, I smiled and look at John "You look nice yourself, John!" I said, making him chuckle while looking down.

"Well, Thank you. But do you know how to dance already?" He asks and I nodded "Yes! I practiced it yesterday and before I slept" John nodded and smiled back "alright, so are you ready?" I nodded my head and replied "So ready" . "Then let's go!" He said while dragging my arm and I drag Mom's arm too out of the house.

After walking for minutes we arrived infront, I looked around and gasped. I never entered here because I always go through the back to the Library to get in. I took a deep breathe and Walked inside with them.

Many people around the ballroom, I gasped at the beautiful chandelier "stop opening your mouth, dear or a fly will come in" Mom said and I closed my mouth, but still looking around in amazed.

We stand behind the people as they round up, later me and John talked while Mother keeps looking at the big window glasses "Attention Everyone!" We all stopped talking to look at the voice "As we all know that we are here to celebrate the future marriage of Prince Arthur and Princess Victoria. This is the day we start. Let the ball begin!" Then after the man said that, a music began to play and the people dancing with their partner around the ballroom.

I smiled, watching them. I saw John walking to the ballroom and asked the beautiful lady for a dance, and she accepted. I chuckled of how nervous he is. Mother watching me "dear, why dont you go and find someone to dance?" She asks.

I shake my head, looking at mother "I dont want to leave your sight" I replied and she chuckle "I'm just here. Maybe I'll go around the ballroom and watch the windows, maybe I could plan on buying it on the future" she said and I laughed, nodding my head. mother always dream of having big home.

I slowly start to walk around the ballroom, smiling then I forgot. I wasnt wearing my mask, I quickly turn to face the wall and grabbed my mask, placing the mask on my face and tying it in the back "You shouldn't put it on, I already saw your beauty".

Turning around to see a Man but I think this was Louis, by the look of his lips shape "I could kiss you if you kept looking at it" He said and I looked down quickly "I'm sorry, I was making sure that you're Louis" I said, making him chuckle.

"Well, you memorized my face alot and I guess everytime I sleep. You admire me" He said, making me laugh and shake my head. "Louis, can I hug you?" I asked and he looked around, dragging me with him out of the ballroom and to the halls.

He remove his mask "You can now" he said and I smiled brightly, hugging him so tight "You -you left without telling me, how could you do that" I said, making him chuckle and hug me back "I left because I know I should, I had some works to do thats why" He said and I nodded.

"I understand, but what are you working on?" I asked before pulling away from the hug. "Come with me" he said as he drag me with me, following him.

Then he dragged me into his room upstairs, I looked around and gasped "You're room is so beautiful!" I exclaimed and he chuckled "I design it, You like it?" He asks and I nodded "I love it." I said while looking around.

"Well, get used of it. Oh here is a Piano" He said while showing me the white piano thing "A piano" I said while caressing it "I've never heard of this before, I never had this at home" I said while looking up to him.

Louis smiled "You never seen wonderful things because you live in the different Island, I promise to show you everything you need to learn" he said, making me smile "oh, Thank you Louis!" I said.

He nodded with a smile "My pleasure, oh let me play it for you here." Louis pressed one of the white keys , making a sound. A smile formed in my face and I tried it "woah, that is amazing" I said.

Louis chuckled and looked at me "Listen while im playing" he said and I nodded, Louis starts to play a song while pressing the keys slowly and softly while looking at me.

Wise men says only fools rush in, but I cant help falling in love with you. Shall I stay? Would it be a sin If I cant help falling in love with you?
Like a river flows, surely to the sea Darling so it goes some things are meant to be.
Take my hand and take my whole life too For I cant help falling in love with you. Oh for I cant help falling in love with you.

Louis finished singing with his calm and soft voice while he looked at me, I smiled brightly and clapped my hands "That was so amazing!" I exclaimed and Louis smiled "It has meaning every word and I mean it" He said, I smiled and nodded. "You are going to be a good singer in the future!" I said.

He smiled with a chuckle "my Mother wants me to be a singer but I want to be a painter, I love to draw and paint" He said and I nodded "Next time, I want to see you how you do it!" I said with a smile.

Louis nodded "Soon I'll help you play the piano and I can help you learn new things you haven't learn yet" he said and I held his hand, smiling "Pinky Promise?" I asks while showing him my pinky finger.

Then he nodded with a chuckle, placing his pinky finger and intertwined it with mine "Pinky promise!" We chuckled "now, lets go downstairs before the ball end!" I said and he nodded, dragging me with him downstairs and wearing my masquerade mask on my face.
