Chapter 34

Elise's Pov

After I spent the night with Arthur talking about how much he loves me and that he swears to never let anyone touch or hurt me again. I love how it feels to be loved by a Man who once was my enemy, friend to lovers.

I walked inside house, greeted by mother who looked worried "my dear Elise, where have you been? I'm so worried" Mom said while coming to hug me. I smiled and hug her back "mother, I am always fine and Arthur here just helped me find my way back home" I answered.

Mom looked at him and smiled, while pulling his arm then hugging him. I chuckled at his reaction "Thank you so much for always taking care of my daughter" she said, Arthur nodded and hugging her back "I promised to myself to never let someone hurt her again".

I looked at Arthur who smiled at me "I cannot thank you enough, son" Mom said while holding his hand, Arthur looked shock "son?" He asks. "Yes, you may also call me mother for I know the rightful man for my daughter" Mom said and I widened my eyes, so does Arthur.

Arthur held her hand too while looking into her eyes "Tell me what you want to say?" He asks, I held my finger tightly and waited for mother's reply "I gave you permission to marry Elise, not because of your action but I know how you both love one another" she said.

I gasped, covering my mouth and tries to speak up when Arthur quickly hugged mother "Oh, m-mom I promised to take care of Elise till death" Arthur replied. "A-arthur-" He cutted me off as Arthur kneeled down while holding my hand.

"Elise, I remember us fighting in the Island you live but that fight has a reason behind it. Without that fighting we wouldn't got so far like now and I want you to know that I have loved you, not because of your beauty but because of your heart and from this day. I want to be with you forever, will you marry me?" Arthur asks while looking deeply into my eyes for answers.

I covered my mouth, tears of happiness in my eyes. I looked down at Arthur and nodding my head quickly "Arthur, Yes I will marry yo!-" Arthur cutted me off by kissing me deeply, I closed my eyes and kissing him back.

Mother clapping from the back and John whistling in happiness, Leyla on the other side looking away in disgust "not infront of us!" She said and John covered leyla's eyes. I chuckled and slowly pulled away from the kiss.

A wide smile form in my lips and looked deeply into Arthur's ocean eyes who looked so deeply in love "My love, you made me so happy. I will tell my parents about us whether they like it or not we will get married as soon as possible" Arthur said and I hug him, closing my eyes. I trust him.

Queen Eleanor's Pov

1day passed..
Walking down the hallways then to the dining room, I look around to see Victoria and Henry who ate silently "Where is Arthur?" I asks and Victoria shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe he's out with that woman again" Henry replied.

I clenched my fist, eating silently and think that he's just in his room when someone slammed the door opened. Making us see who it is "Your Majesties sorry to interrupt your-" Henry cutted him off "this should be important or else I'll cut your head off".

The messenger gulps his saliva down and cleared his throat "Your Majesty, Prince Arthur is engaged to a peasant" he said, I widened my eyes and spits my wine out of my mouth "what!". Henry slammed his hand on the table "That child! Find him now!" Henry said angrily and he nodded quickly going out of the room.

Victoria stood up and turned around, leaving the dining room. I excused myself and followed her "Victoria wait!" I said. "Mother, I've done everything I could. I loved Arthur but this is what I get?" She asks while tears in her eyes.

I shook my head "no, Arthur loves you. I want you to be the only one to marry my son" I said and Victoria stopped crying "That's not it, I want to send a letter to my mother and tell her this" I widened my eyes "No no! The wedding will happened! I the Queen say that only you Princess Victoria marry my son" I said

Victoria nodded while holding my hand "Thank you, Thank you so much" She said, I nodded while patting her back "You are a Princess and no one can take your place as the future Queen of Asirald" I replied. I heard her say something which I cannot hear clearly "Thats right im the future queen of this kingdom and no one else's"

Arthur's Pov

Walking inside the Palace, greeted by the guards "Your Highness, the King calls for you" I nodded and walked upstairs to his room, looking around as I saw Father standing in the balcony.

I walked to him as he says "What did I heard about your engagement with the peasant, Arthur?" He asks. Looking down from the balcony to the villages "What you heard Father is true I am going to marry Elise whether you like it or not" I replied.

Father looked at me with a disappointing look "I cant believe you are doing this, Arthur? I've raised you to be a perfect King of this Kingdom and this is what you reward me?" He asks in disbelief. "You raised me up to be a perfect king but never teach me how to love, but Elise did and she told me to give you and mother a chance to show how much you love me" I said.

He looked at me with a frown "We do not speak the subject of Love, love is weak and for those the one who chose it are just poor" . I scoffed "Love is caring, kindness and selfless. Do not underestimate the power of Love, you just cannot feel it because there is no love in you" I said, while looking back at him.

Father clenched his fist tightly, truth hits him and I know it. He doesnt love mother because he just want the crown, money and power "And about Elise, even you dont like her I will marry her because I love her. I will never stop loving her because she is my bride to be" I said while turning around to leave.

I hear him shout from behind "Son you are crazy!" I ignored him as I left the room, seeing mother infront of the door she then move back away "Son, listen-" I cutted her off "if you're gonna talk about my engagement too, ask father. I dont want any more words" I replied before leaving the Palace.

Walking to the house, I found Elise cleaning the window and a smile form in my face. Just seeing Elise made my day "Boo!" I shouted and she jumped while widening her eyes "Arthur!"

I laughed, watching her running outside the house to hug me. I fall my back to the ground as she hugged me tightly, laughing and kissing her forehead "Elise, I missed you" I said and Elise smiled warmly "So do I, what did your parents say? Oh- let me help you up" Elise stood up and helped me up.

I released a sigh, making her worried "What's wrong?" She asks and I smiled, shooking my head "All is fine" Elise shake her head and held my forehead "You dont look fine, you look stressed" she replied, I pecked her lips "I was but once I saw you, you made my day happy" I replied.

Elise looked down, she smiled while a color pink forming her cheek and I chuckled and hugging her tightly "What did your parents say about us?" She asks while looking at me "Father disagreed but i dont care" I replied and Elise looked down to our intertwined hands.

"What about your mother?" She asks, I looked down at her and kissed her forehead "She said nothing" I said and Elise bite her lip slightly "Arthur bu-" I cutted her off "dont worry about the things of it, I will take care of it as much as I take care of you" I said and she nodded, leaning her head on my shoulder.

I looked around the sea while caressing Elise's hand, wondering what my parents planning for Elise and I already promised that I will take care and never leaver her forever. "I Love you Elise and forever I will" I whispered, Elise whispered back "I love you too, Arthur dont forget that" she said and I nodded "Never".
