Chapter 30

Elise's Pov

Writing everything that happened in the beginning where I live peacefully with my Mother in the farm alone then found Arthur lying down the shore. I smiled as I write it over

I saw Arthur walking towards me and tried to read it, then I quickly cover it, looking at him "It's not ready yet" I said and Arthur chuckled "I already know our story together" . "Yeah, but I also want you to read it when I finish the whole book" I said while still covering the book.

Arthur chuckled and nodded "alright then, Well are you hungry?" He asks and I shook my head "I'm fine" then my stomach was the one who answered honestly as it rumbles. I widened my eyes and Arthur laughed "Come, I'll get you food".

I just looked down, standing up slowly and followed him to the kitchen. The maids and servants looked at us then quickly bowed down to Arthur. I saw Arthur gestures them to leave and they did, leaving us alone.

Arthur walked towards the table and grabbed a plate of green grapes, chicken leg and cherry. "Oh this looks delicious but isn't too much?" I asks and Arthur smiled "not for me, thats just a small food, please eat" I nodded.

I was about to eat while standing up but Arthur held my hand "Eat in the dining room" He said while taking me with him. I shook my head "what, no. Your parents are-" he cutted me off "they left hours ago to go visit the Kingdom of Alynthi with Princess Victoria and I insists them that i'll stay here" Arthur said, I nodded.

"Oh, please eat" He said and I nodded with a smile, digging my food "have you eaten yet?" I asks and Arthur replied "I'll eat later" I furrowed and pulled his chair beside me "what are you doing?". I ignore him and kept pulling the chair he is in, I patted his back "Let's share food then".

Arthur's eyes widened "no, no it's fine. I can call someone to make me another food" I shook my head "Just eat, I cant finish this all" I said and Arthur releases a sigh before nodding his head, I clapped my hands and ate half of the chicken.

I hummed "It's so good!" I said while giving him a thumbs up, Arthur chuckled and ate some. I tried the green grapes with the chicken and I hummed more. Arthur noticed me and laughed "I know its too good, that was my first reaction when the first time I combined it together" he said and I nodded, still eating.

I finished eating and so does he, I looked at Arthur with a smile. he then noticed something on my lips, Arthur reached his finger beside my lip that has oil of the chicken, I looked into Arthur's eyes and he also did.

I quickly break the eye contanct "Um, thank you so much for the food. I really love it and I should get back home now, mother would be really worrie-" My words were cutted off as Arthur kisses me deeply.

I froze, then slowly closes my eyes and kissing him back. His hands slowly places on my cheek. We kissed for minutes then I pulled away. "A-arthur I-" I paused my sentence as he whispered "Elise, I love you".

Princess Victoria's Pov

It's 5 in the afternoon, we arrived at the Kingdom of Asirald and I was so sleepy. Walking upstairs to my chamber when my secretary ran towards me and whispered "Arthur kissed that girl again" she said.

My blood boiling, I turned my head towards her and slapped her "Why did you tell me just now?" I asks, while clenching my fist. She held her cheek and bows down "I'm sorry, your highness but you just arrived now." She replied while looking down.

"Did you stop them?" I asks and She shook her head, I then slapped her harder this time "stupid girl, you should've stop them!" I yelled loudly, she looked down more. I then walked outside the castle "Come with me!" I said to her and she did.

Elise's Pov

I was cooking food this dinner, John was playing with Leyla and Mother cleaning the house. I kept smiling after that kiss and the confession of Arthur I just excused myself and left the palace, I was flustered and I cannot believe that Arthur love me. I always thought that he just love me as a friend but I was wrong.

I told mother about it and she was so much happy to find out that Arthur truly loved me. I served the food and placing it on the table, I smiled "Dinner is ready!" . Leyla quickly sat down and I chuckled.

John looked surprised at the food which is chicken, fish with grapes. I got the mind to cook fish with grapes because of Arthur, Mother sat down lastly "Alright, thank you for the food today and bless this food to make us healthy and strong, Amen" Mother said while closing her eyes. I smiled "let's dig in".

Before we dig in our food, we heard a knock on the door. I looked at mother and she was smirking, I ignore her and walk to the door to open it. Opening the door and I gasped as I saw Princess Victoria "surprise, whore".

Victoria then grabbed my hair and dragging me outside the house, John stood up and held her "hey hey! Let her go!" He yelled and the other girl pushed John, making him fall to the ground. I yelped in pain as she slapped me 2 times "How dare you to kiss Arthur my future husband?!" Victoria grip my hair tightly, i closes my eyes in pain and tried to stop her.

The other villagers opened their window to see whats happening and some others walked out from their house and watched us fight "You!" I heard mother yell while bringing a broom infront of victoria's face, making her move away in disgust "stay away from my daughter!".

I stood up and the other woman pushed me back down, mother then throwed garbages at her from the ground "You dare to hurt my daughter, huh?!" John then drag me quickly back inside the house. "Oh yes! Let everyone here know that your daughter is a whore!" Victoria shouted.

Mother loses her temper and starts hitting Victoria with the broom "what did you say, what did you say?" Victoria then yelled in disgust. The other woman tried to grab mother when Leyla throwed the garbages from the side of the house"eat that! No one messes with my sister!" Leyla shouted while throwing the garbages at them both.

Victoria yelled in disgust, the other woman too and they move away. Mother hitting Victoria with the broom again, mom then lastly throw her shoes at her "if you dare to step foot in this house again, i will make sure that it is the last thing you ever stepped in your life!" Mother said loudly.

Then Victoria death glared at us while standing up from the ground "This isn't over, Elise! You hear me, This is not over! I will take my revenge!" Victoria yelled then mother walked back inside the house and coming back with a rolling pin "I wont hesitate to kill you if you hurt my daughter again" Mother raises her voice while pointing the rolling pin at Victoria and the woman. They both move back away, standing up from the ground and ran away together.

Mother then looked at the crowd watching us "I'm sorry for disturbing you all, please forget the whole thing happened and have a Good night sleep" she said before going back inside and closes the door.

I hugged myself while burrying my face into my legs, I cried "Elise, it's okay. They're just cruel" Mother said while patting my back. I shook my head "Mother, am I really a woman who seek for a man to entertain myself?" I asked while sobbing and mom shake her head.

"No, you loved Arthur. I know you loved Louis too but as a friend, that confirmed that you loved Arthur and no one else" She said while hugging me, Leyla looked me at me sadly "It's okay, sister. You see how I beat that woman? Its for you!" She said with her little voice, I then released a chuckle through my cries. I saw Leyla fighting over me too "You did great, but you must be very careful" I said.

"Victoria was a Princess, it is possible for her to forced her parents to do something bad to us" I said worriedly while looking at mother "she'll what? She'll send an army to kill us? She's a daddy's girl" mother replied, Leyla snorted loudly and I laugh.

Mother laughed too, "I dont care if she sends us an army to kill us. But we are family and we are not easily to be destroyed" she said while hugging me and Leyla, Mom then open her other arms for John who quickly hugged her too. I sighed, I love warm hugs with my family..
