Forbidden Love

Chapter 9

Elise's Pov

I came back home, expecting mother to come and see me instead Arthur came out of the house and pull me closer to him as he hugged me tightly.

I froze as he hugged me, I held the basket tightly to not drop it. "Are you okay?" I asks. Arthur releases the hug and looked at me "I am glad your back, do you know how worried I am?"

I nodded my head "I know you are, but I didn't mind it. Where is mother?" I asked while looking around for her.

"She's on the shore, maybe catching some fish" Arthur answered. I wide eyes and let Arthur grab the basket as I run to the shore. I really wanted to do fishing.

"Mother!" I shout as I arrive in the shore, I see mother and I quickly walk towards her. "Mother, are you fishing? I want to see you do it" i said excitedly.

"I was about to but" she paused her sentence as she look at the side of the Island, I look where her eyes fixed and finds a big boat who was hidden below the cave which I hardly see.

I frowned and asks her "who are they, mother and what are they doing in this Island?" Mother shrugged and keeps looking at the big boat "i don't know, but I think its the best if we keep quiet, dont go anywhere. They might be a Pirate"

I frowned and look at mother, she always told me about stories of Pirates when I was a kid, they were my worst nightmare but I've honestly never seen them.

"They're a Pirate? Are they going to kill us and snatch this Island?" I said panicking. Mom shakes her head "I don't know, child but we dont know the real reason why they are here"

"Just dont go anywhere, stay inside the house. Understand?" I nodded my head "I understand, mother" i said while looking at the Pirate boat, I get so confused how they look like.

Unknown Pov

"Hurry, scums!" I heard my mate on the back, the cleaners quickly cleans the floor. "When is lonard coming back, its been 3 hours." I said while looking around unpatiently tapping my fingers.

"He won't take long than that, Sir" My mate replied. And When I was about to reply "I've done it, Captain" I looked at lonard "are you sure there?" . "Yes, Sir"

"Well, then Good work but you need to stay here for 2 days and keep doing your job" I said coldly. Lonard nodded "Yes, captain" then he left to go back.

This is going to be fun..

Arthur's Pov

I watched Elise talking to her mother, I smiled and continue to do my work. I hope she'll forgive me for stressing her out earlier.

"Elise!" I called her, she quickly look at me and hesitate whether to come but she did. As she came near me and asks "what is it?"

"I- i am sorry for stressing you out earlier" I said while looking down, She releases a sigh and smiled while holding my hand. She is the sweetest person i've ever met.

"It's alright, I just want you to give your parents a chance to show how much they love you" Elise replied. I nodded at her "then if you really want it to happened then I'll give them a chance"

Elise widened her eyes "seriously, arthur?like no joking!" I shake my head "I'm not joking, for you I would do anything" I said seriously.

Elise squealed loudly, and hugged me so tight, I smiled and hug her back. I've never smiled when someone is too happy. "Oh, goodness arthur. You dont know how happy I am!" She said through her tears of happiness.

"You know how much I want you and your family to have a good relationship like we shared with my mother" she said.

I smiled happily, hugging her more and I closed my eyes, not wanting to end this warm hug "It's all because of you". She smiled and giggles slightly "Should I thank you for saying that or should I thank myself if im the reason of it?" She asks.

I chuckled, she's adorable when she is confused "I think both" I laughed with her.

The next day..

Elise's Pov

I get the basket and kisses my mother on the cheek, and starting to go into the forest but she stopped me "didn't I told you to stay inside the house? I dont want you get caught with those Pirates".

"Mother, were not sure if they are really Pirates, maybe just visitors from other big Island" I said. Mom sighed "I just want you to be safe, Pirate or not there are also bad people out there."

"I'm going to be fine, I promise" I said while give mom a warm smile, she hesitates and slowly nodding her head "alright, just dont be long"

I smiled and Thank her as I start to walk inside the forest, then I saw Leo who looks like he's been waiting for me. "Are you standing like that for the whole day waiting for me?" I joked to catch his attention.

Leo turned his head and chuckled "for you, I would do that" I laughed with him then he took me to the strawberry tree. I tried to grab the strawberry then suddenly I reached it.

I looked down and saw Leo lifting me up slightly for me to reach, I chuckled and mumbles "Thank you" . "My pleasure, my lady"

Minutes passed we sat on the rock of the mountain, watching the ocean from below. I laughed with him as he keeps talking about his first travel experience and how he freak out that his father thought he heard a mice.

Then suddenly I said "I want to go out there.." I paused for a second and looked at Leo "in your world" leo looked back at me "If i were you, i'd be happy forever for not seeing the real world"

I furrow my brows confusedly, getting more confuse of the outside world "I'm so confused out there, what is it like?" I asks. "Well, its sometimes beautiful and sometimes cruel"

I look at him with a confused look "people out there do cruel things? Like what?" Leo looked at me and answered "like killing each other out of anger and vengeance, justice"

I looked at Leo and covers my lips slightly, surprised of the cruel things people do out there and I was about to reply when he interrupted me "thats not the only thing they do, we out there done many bad things that you cant imagine"

"Sometimes about their partner, anger as like one of them love somebody and also jealousy" Leo said and when I was about to reply this time somebody interrupted us.

"Yes, like how I am now"

We both turned our heads, I widened my eyes..
