Chapter 15

Elise's Pov

I made soup for my mother, smiling then the door opened revealing John. He looked at me and quickly hugged me "You got me so worried! I will not forgive that man for-" I cut him off.

"Come on, It's fine. Im doing great now and look I am okay, im not hurt" He sighed and held my arm "you don't know how dangerous people out there, I don't want you get hurt" John said.

I nodded my head "But atleast I'm fine now, look I made a soup!" I said while showing him the soup, John looked at it "it smells good, you are a good cook" John replied.

I fed my mother, smiling as she keep talking that she wanted to see this big Island "when you finish eating, we can go out together" I said, smiling.

Mom looked at me as she sit up "child, about leo i-" I cutted her off "mom, let him rest now. He has been a good friend to me" I said.

Mom nodded and release a sigh, I look at the window. Its crazy how a friend saves me and died after confessing his love. A tear fell to my cheek.

Mom looked at me and quickly wipes my tears away "I shouldn't mention you of him, forgive me" I shake my head, holding her hand "It's fine, I'm just happy that you are still here beside me".

She nodded, smiling and I sit up straight "oh, about Arthur. I found him earlier in the forest!" Mom looked surprised. "Really? Oh where is he now?".

I said "I don't know, I was about to ask him to live with us but my friend dragged me away as If he was my enemy . Mom looked at me with a frown "and you didn't tell me that you had a friend too?" Mom said strictly.

I laughed, shaking my head "well, I met him yesterday but its actually not so long. His name is Louis" I said and mom nodded "Louis, how many friends do you have now?" Mom asks.

I chuckle and think "maybe 5 or 6? But i'm happy!" I said excitedly mentioning it. "Who's the 6?" Mom asks and I replied "You".

Mom laughed and hug me "oh, child you are too sweet" I laughed and hugged her back "for you".

Arthur's Pov

I keep walking in the hallway, while father keeps talking about my return then proceeds the marriage. Well yes I came back here so I can be king and let Elise rule beside me. I won't let Louis win. Elise belongs to me.

"Son, are you even listening?!" Hearing Father shout for me to snap out of thoughts, turning my head to him and replied "Yes, I am. Now get out of my sight".

That answer makes my father mad, pointing his hand at me "watch your mouth, son! Remember I am still your king." I ignore him, well for now.

I walk inside my chamber, closing the door behind me. Then I turned my head to the door as I heard it opened again, revealing Princess Victoria "Hey, Arthur. Where have you been?".

"Get out of my room, or I'll slice your head off your shoulder" I replied while looking at her deadly. She nodded quickly and walked out of my room.

No one will replace Elise in my heart, she is my life and my everything.

I remember my promise to her that i'll give my parents a chance to prove their love for me, I groaned. "I messed up".

I got up from my bed and walked out, I want to see my mother. Knocking on her door and walks inside. "Mother, I'm back".

Mom looked up to me with wide eyes "Arthur!" She run up to me and hug me so tight "son, you're back" I nodded my head, hugging her back "Yes, I am." I replied simply. Expecting her to change the topic like what Father did.
