Destiny blinked her eyes rapidly, trying to grasp what Aubrey was saying. "You don't expect me to wear this outside."

He exited the closet and held a gorgeous Burberry peacoat in his hands.

A gasp left her lips, and she rushed over to him, running her hands up and down the coat. "Oh my God."

    "Put it on."

Her eyes lit up with excitement. She forgot that she was essentially dressed up like a character in a hentai film. She forgot that he expected her to walk outside practically naked. The coat was that damned beautiful. He held it up for her and she slid her arms through the sleeves, as excited as a kid on Christmas.

He laughed as he fixed the collar of the coat.

"I'm going to get weird looks because it's still summertime and I'm dressed like it's winter, but I don't even care," she said, marveling at the coat's beauty.

"Dinner will be served where we are headed," he informed her, glancing at his watch. "We need to get going."

She nodded, still playing with the lapels of the coat.

"And I almost forgot." He walked over to the nightstand and opened the drawer.

She expected for him to pull out her black collar, but he returned to her with an ivory one. It matches my outfit, she realized, looking up at him with shock on her face.

He clasped it around her neck and touched the tip of her nose with his finger. "Now, you look absolutely perfect." He grinned and extended his hand so she could grab it. "Let's go."

With her coat buttoned all the way up to the top, she sat in the passenger side of the Range Rover. A million different questions ran through her mind. Where were they going? Why was she dressed like this? He didn't seriously expect for her to ever take her coat off, wherever they were going - did he? Did he have any idea how out of season she was dressed and how many strange looks they were going to get? She loved the coat, but how could she have walked out of the condo looking like this?

"You look like you're deep in thought over there," he remarked.

"I'm wearing a coat in the dead of summer," she responded, staring out of the passenger side window.

He laughed. "And right about now you're worried that you're going to get weird looks because of that fact."

"I know I will," she said, looking over at him.

He smiled as he steered the car through the streets of Toronto. "No one is going to look at you strangely because of your coat," he said after a few moments of silence.

Those words should have comforted her, but for some reason, they only served to make her feel more nervous. She crossed her arms over her chest and stared straight ahead, out of the windshield. The scenery looked a bit familiar. Her eyes lit up with recognition. "We're near that deli," she said, sitting up straighter in her seat. "The one I go to whenever I get my hair done."

    "Mmmhm," he said softly.

Why doesn't he just tell me what he has planned? she wondered. Why does he have to be so frigging secretive? She sighed.

He turned the car into an alleyway.

Her nerves went into overdrive. "This...doesn't look safe," she said worriedly.

    He laughed again.

"I'm glad you're amused," she muttered.

"Will you just...trust me?" he asked her.

The alleyway opened up into a large parking lot, filled with cars. The parking lot was walled in by buildings. There was nothing that looked special about the parking lot or the buildings around it. One building had steps leading up to a door with a neon red sign posted above it. The sign read: "Decadence."

Her fear dissipated. He took me out to a club? That's actually kind of cool.

He turned off the car and opened the driver side door.

She waited while he walked around the car to open the door for her. He assisted her out; the entire time, she turned her head this way and that, scoping the place out. A few couples lingered near the base of the stairs. One couple was making out, while another couple spoke excitedly to each other. You're at a nightclub. Calm down. Whatever he has planned can't be that bad. There are other people here. It's not like he can spank you black and blue in front of other people.

He linked his arms with hers, studying her. "The running theme for this week has been opening up," he told her as they walked towards the steps. He lifted his key fob in the air and engaged the car alarm, then pocketed the keyfob. "And in the spirit of opening up, I want to lay everything on the table. The idea of Brian kissing you...it angers me. And no, I'm not angry at you. It's not your fault. But...I'm still working through the issues I have with trust and I'm still working on being a man that deserves you."

She tilted her head to the side, looking up at him. "You do deserve me," she insisted.

"No, I don't," he argued with a small smile. "But I'm working on it."

They reached the base of the stairs and he turned to face her.

"Because I am wired the way that I am and because I am possessive as I am, I need a reminder. A reminder that you belong to me. Me and only me."

She stared at him, trying to read the look in his eyes. What is he trying to tell me? "I do belong to you," she told him.

He lowered his gaze. "I know, but...I need to see that."

    She frowned.

"Tonight...tonight is going to be intense," he told her. "And I wasn't exaggerating. Tonight, I will be asking you to step outside of your element. I want you to do this for me. I want you to... indulge me. Okay?"

She turned her head and looked up the stairs. "What is through those doors?" she asked him, her voice trembling.

"I'm going to show you," he said, following her gaze. "I'm going to show you, but I'm just...asking you to trust me. And I'm asking for you not to judge me. And I'm asking for you to just...indulge me. For tonight."

His words instilled a sense of fear in her that made her blood run cold, but she nodded her head. "Of course," she said. "Of course I trust you."

They walked up the stairs together. She clung to him, wondering what she was going to see the minute he opened the door.
