Severus and I were sat in my classroom this time around, there was significantly more sunlight, considering it wasn't in the dungeon and there was quite the large window in it.
We were both reading, as normal. It was the first time we had the time alone together in quite a while. All the students were taking their OWLS today, and Umbridge sought to proctor the test in the Great Hall, so I wasn't concerned about her snooping around the castle.
"What are your opinions on marriage?" I looked up to meet Severus' eyes.
"Might you run that by me again?" I asked, wondering if I heard him correctly. Why was he asking that?
"I was asking, out of curiosity, what your opinions are on marriage? Do you think that it's a requirement, or... " He wondered aloud.
"Well, I suppose that I'm-" I was cut off by the sound of an explosion, or at least what it sounded like. Then another, and several more.
I looked out the window curiously before remembering.
The twins had told me all about their scheme yesterday. In fact, I even fuelled some of their ideas and coordinated tactics. I helped them craft the supplies and learn the spells, they knew that I could not be there to actually pull it off though.
"Do you know what that is?" Severus asked me, I imagined he noticed my unbothered, and inf act amused expression.
"Oh, just the Weasley twins," I said, smiling to myself and going back to reading.
"Did you have something to do with this?" He asked.
"Perhaps I did, would you be angry if that were the case?" I teased.
"Well, I don't think I would applaud such destructive and reckless behavior." He said.
"Sev, it's just in fun. They're doing something to take the tension off. It's not like you care about that pink toad anyways. And I assure you there will be no property damage." I told him, "Well unless you want to count those educational decrees, those will be no more." I smiled.
"I'm starting to think you were sorted into the wrong house, Y/n." He commented.
I stood and went over to the window, watching the last few seconds of the show the Weasleys had put together.
"We all have fun in our own ways, Severus," He approached my side and watched with me. "I know you got your kicks somehow, perhaps it was outperforming The Marauders?"
"You've come to know me well, my love."
The show ended, but kids still littered about outside, mingling with one another, though I noticed a pair of three separating from the crowd.
"Somethings wrong," I said, observing the trio.
"I'm sure we'll find out shortly," Severus assured me. I kept my eyes on them as they came back and entered the castle.
"Come on," I said, walking towards the door. Severus followed me without objection. Perhaps I was following my intuition yet again and he knew that and decided not to question it.
I walked at a brisk pace, and he tried to keep up. As I walked through the halls, I passed by filch, who was quick to make a statement. Not to me, but to Severus.
"Ah, Snape, just the man I was looking for. The Headmistress wants you in her office, with Veritaserum if possible." Filch said. I stopped and turned around to observe the conversation.
"Understood, thank you Mr. Filch," Severus responded.
Severus continued to walk, joining my side and I walked with him. Filch continued on his way.
