Sunday October 24th, Austin, USA.
"Sebastian Vettel and friend," Holly muses out loud as she scrolls through her social media feed and comes across a photo of herself and Seb, taken in the paddock only an hour ago, "it's says here that we're friends."
He puts his glass down and slips his hand behind hers, cradling it and turning it gently so that he can see what she's looking at. He chuckles, it's the first time they've been pictured entering the circuit together and speculation is once again rife over the state of their relationship, "well if it's on there, it must be true."
"Does it bother you much when people gossip about you?" she asks as she locks the screen and drops the phone into her bag.
"Professionally? No. Personally? Yes but I've learnt to live with it and they only know what I choose to let them know, which is very little. I don't get why it interests people so much, why do they insist on knowing if I'm single or not? Why do they want to know who I'm seeing?" he grumbles as he returns his attention to the rice dish he's currently having for his pre race lunch and picks at it with his fork.
"Because if there's one thing I've learnt about you online since we've known each other, it's that you're something of an enigma. The fact that you give so little away is what fascinates people, you make them more curious whether you mean to or not."
He swallows the mouthful he's got before he shrugs and replies, "honestly, they'd find me rather boring if they knew everything, there's not much to know."
She leans closer and lowers her voice, covering her mouth with her hand a bit as she's seen him do sometimes when he doesn't want other people to know what he's saying to someone, "I'm just glad they haven't figured out much about me, that's one rumour I guess you could really do without."
He nods and takes another forkful of his rice; she's right there, he doesn't want the gossips finding out what Holly does for a living and putting two and two together. The rumour mill will be bad enough when he becomes a father next year, he hasn't even begun to think about the logistics of trying to hide a baby from the media. Where most new dads would be gladly showing off their newborn son or daughter, he can't do that. Being in the public eye means that he has to think about safety and security - it's not just about privacy. But he has thought about making a baby with Holly and it's been on his mind ever since she's agreed to sleep with him. It's been haunting his every thought, night and day for nearly a month now. He's had dreams about it where it's happened during the day or at night. He's imagined the positions he'd love to have her in but ultimately he knows that he'd love to have her beneath him in bed, their bodies pressed together, hands tightly being held up by her head where he's fenced her in with his forearms. They'd be gazing into each other's eyes, exchanging soft kisses and wordless I love yous and he'd watch her fall apart, hearing her cry out his name as she came. And he'd be the only man who got to be inside her for the rest of their lives.
"Seb."
He's nudged quite strongly and it makes his rice fall from his fork before it reaches his mouth. He hadn't even realised how he'd drifted into his sexual day dream but his dick has and it's feeling uncomfortable in his race suit, which is zipped up to his waist.
She giggles at the way he's holding his empty fork near his mouth and strokes his bicep as she apologises, "sorry, I didn't mean to make you drop your food, I was asking if you've taken your vitamin this morning but you were miles away."
Across the table from him, he sees Antti trying to stifle an amused grin and he tries to kick the Finn under the table while he blushes. Antti's made no secret of how he finds it comical that Seb's having to take a thirty day course of vitamin supplements that are tailored specifically for helping to improve his fertility - at Holly's request. Thankfully his PT thinks that they're still going ahead with artificial insemination and doesn't know about their plan to have sex. Britta doesn't know either and that's the way he wants to keep it, he can only imagine the things she'd have to say if she knew. "Yeh," he answers, sounding a little embarrassed, "have you had yours?" She's on a female version of the same brand to help things along too.
