After all of them had a good look at the matching wristbands he headed back to his room to put it away. He doesn't wear it much because he's afraid it'll break with his "activities". Attacks could happen anytime so he can't wear it.
But as he approached his room he noticed the heartbeat behind him. He turned to see Nat.
"So where'd you get those pictures?" Nat asked him smiling.
"Great Rockey Mountains. Statue-" He stared to list the places but was quickly interrupted."
"It's amazing photoshop, who did it?" Nat asked giving him the look.
"Karen" He answered opening his door and putting the band back in the bag.
"Of course, but we both know Tony will do some looking." Nat said leaning on the doorframe.
"You wouldn't happen to know how to forge some documents and family trees would you?" He asked.
"May know a thing or two, Friday will be the key part though." Nat smirked and turned towards the hall.
He smiled. This is so stupid it's fun.
He walked back into the main area to see Tony questioning him. Harley looks calm so he'll assume that the gig is still going.
"If you don't believe me, I can tell you Peter's biggest secret." Harley said matter of factly. Is Harley talking about...
Harley looked at him.
"They know." He said hoping this is about Spider-Man.
"Oh. They know you're Spider-Man." Harley said. Tony just looked at Harley conflicted.
"This is real" Tony sad to himself.
"It's not that big of a deal, come on. Let's do something besides sitting here and questioning me." Harley complained.
"Hey now that we have access to a lab, we can do more than just fix things." Harley said. It was a risky lie but guess it's obvious he builds and fixes things. He wonders how much Tony has told Harley about him.
"I guess but this a hard thing to just brush over." Tony said.
"Friday initiate Baby proof protocol." Tony said as they rushed to the elevator.
Once the doors closed Harley laughed.
"So I heard about you befriending the princess of Wakanda." Harley commented.
"Yeah she's badass." He said.
"OH, Stevie wouldn't appreciate that coming out of your mouth." Harley joked. he laughed.
"So where is she?" Harley asked. His smiled dropped a little.
"She left when I was in California." He would regret going more if he didn't meet Eddie and venom. Besides Shuri didn't hold anything against him, she even asked questions.
"Sad, I wanted to meet her. but meeting Spider-Man makes up for it." Harley said nudging him.
The elevator doors opened, and they bee lined for the clearest workbench.
"What should we make?" Harley asked.
"Let's make a hologram portrait that'll dissolve and turn into different pictures. We'll use the pictures of us." He suggested. Harley smirked.
"Genius" Was all that was said before they started. They got some blueprints from Tony's previous hologram devices and Peter caught a glimpse of a drone machine. Cool.
And they took different parts of different blueprints and made their own. The blueprint showed simple flat circle that'll have a projector in the middle facing up. It'll project their pictures and it'll dissolve slowly from left to right.
But in the middle of creating the device Harley asked a question.
"So, what made you start being Spider-Man?"
He sighed as the answer usually brings tension and silence. But he'll answer anyways. He isn't ashamed of why he goes out.
"I got my powers a while ago, and for a while I tried to ignore it. Hoping to god I could live life normally. Then one day I had a fight with my uncle and aunt, I stormed out. I didn't have any destination in mind so I was at a convenience store. I was strolling through the aisle when the cashier had a gun pointed at him. I just stood there and the man got money and beer and ran. I stood there not moving for a little bit before there was a gunshot. I rushed to look only to see my uncle falling to the ground his hands over his stomach and the guy running away. Last words to me were about power and responsibility." He dumped all this onto Harley.
"I had power, but I wasn't responsible with it. I ignored it, hoping it'll go away. And it got my uncle killed. I handle so many robbers. It would've been easy. But I froze and did nothing.... So yeah, that's why I do it. Because I can stop that from happening to others. I can easily stop simple robberies and save people the grief." He ended his speech with a smile thinking about all the people he saves and them being so kind.
"You're the embodiment of selfless. No wonder Tony and the rest were drawn to you." Harley gave him a small smile and they went back to building. It was a nice silence.
He kinda wished Harley and him were cousins. If they knew each other sooner.
