There was a bright flash as the elemental exploded leaving green wisps of light lingering in the air.

He looked around with his breaths getting shallow. There he saw Beck laying on the ground.

He sensed Miles presence was still here.

"You have to go." He warned Miles.

He leaped down to Beck's body as Fury and Hill approached.

"Beck, beck?" He asked as he hesitated to touch the body. Beck then groaned.

"Oh thank god" He sighed as he went to help Beck up. Steam was actually coming off his body at the cold night air.

"So it's over?" Hill asked looking around.

"That's the last of them." Beck answered.

"But not the last threat we'll ever face." Fury countered. "Hill and I are going to Europol headquarters in Berlin tomorrow. You should join us.

"Thank you, I just might take you up on that."

Fury turned and walked up to him. He felt intimidated by Fury's one eye stare down. The man doesn't blink much.

"You got gifts Parker. But you didn't want to be here."

"I just.." He started but quickly stopped seeing as Fury didn't seem interested in his excuse.

"I'd love to have you in Berlin too. The Avengers see something in you. But you got to decide whether you're gonna step up or not." Fury said sternly then walked back to the car.

It hurt. It did. He didn't want to be here. He couldn't deny that. The Avengers wouldn't have said they weren't going to fight. He was just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, but maybe he can't be that for long.

He glanced around at all the destruction. Everything was on fire and the ferris wheel was barely held up.

His staggering breaths got louder as the smoke was getting overwhelming. He could practically taste the smoke. He walked off out of sight and crashed on a top of a building a block or two away.

His lungs filled with clearer air but the smell of smoke was still prominent in the air. He enhanced smell didn't help.

He was tired but he couldn't fall asleep on some building. He should check up on his friends.

He got up and headed in the direction of the hotel.

Hotel

He changed in an alley and walked into the hotel. There he saw Ned leaning on the railing upstairs waiting for him.

"Peter oh my God, we almost died." Ned greeted him with a hug.

"Its fine, everything's fine. Hey, I'm done with the mission. We can finally enjoy the trip!" He said excited but Ned's face fell.

"Dude, the trip's over." Ned sadly told him.

"What?"

"Monsters are popping up and attacking. Of course our parents want us home." Ned explained. His jaw couldn't help but hang open.

Then Mr. Harrington came around the corner on call with a parent. When Mr. Harrington saw him he gasped then sighed.

"Oh Peter! You're alive." Mr. Harrington said relieved.

Ned went back to his room and he stood there watching everyone hurriedly walking between rooms.

"Peter" He turned to see MJ waving him over. He walked over to her.

"So the trip's ending..." He said.

"Yeah..." MJ sighed.

"I kinda wanted to do something, not on the schedule or with Mr. Harrington. And I'm not ready for this trip to end so...?" He trialed off on his unvoiced question.

"Yes" MJ answered knowing the question

"See you outside in ten minutes?"

"Five."

He nodded and quickly went to drop off his suit.

Lobby

He watched the news of the fight and they gave him the name night monkey. He almost laughed. He's been called worse though.

The elevator dinged and he saw MJ walked out, she was still in her dress but had a jacket for the chilly night air. He also noted the backpack she had. They left the hotel and begun their little walk.

He fiddled with the necklace in his pocket. You can call him a sappy romantic but he would just like a moment where it'll feel purposeful to give her the necklace.

They got to a bridge with no one else around and he thought maybe they could stop, take a look over the water, and maybe it'd be a good moment to give the necklace.

"You know they used to execute people on this bridge? They would put them in this basket and they'd drown in the water." MJ spilled out information about the bridge. He smiled. He forgot this was MJ, she probably wouldn't care too much over some romantical moment but she'd appreciate it.

He's probably thinking too much into this.

They did stop on the bridge but any sense of romance is gone. But this was now or never. Better a bridge in Prague than in an airplane.

Before he could get any words out, MJ starting talking.

"So during the fight Miles webbed something and it came flying in my direction."

MJ flipped the bag around and pulled out some remanent part of a machine. It was covered in webs. He leaned closer to get a better look through the webs but then a bright light blinded him momentarily.

As his vision came back he looked up in fear seeing a storm monster above them and it was swiping it's claw looking hands around madly. But it was swiping at nothing. He looked down at the part to see it was projecting the storm monster.

"What the hell?!" He said absently, his mind running a mile a minute. If that thing was at the battle and it projected a storm like elemental than what was the fire elemental? But it was real? Everything was on fire and things were destroyed. But it didn't give off light in the steam cloud? Mysterio was literally steaming after exploding the fire elemental?

What.

They both looked wide eyed at the projector.

"That isn't some regular projector." MJ said. He carefully picked it up.

"Its really advanced." He said still confused over everything.

'That means the elementals are.."

"Fake?" He finished her sentence. "But who would do something like this?"

The projector started up again. They both turned to watch the monster continue swiping. Then Mysterio appeared out of the cloud and shot rays at the storm elemental.

"Mysterio" MJ answered
