This is a chapter people have been waiting for. What I've promised a ton of chapters ago.

"I promise Shuri will know first."
------------------------------------------------------

The whole thing happened in an instant. No time to look. To react. To even think. He felt the sudden rush of heat from the explosion and then the sudden rush of air as he fell. But the second his hands caught onto something he gripped it with all his might.

As he took in his surroundings he saw it was Groot, specifically his leg. He could see burn marks on Groot and it seemed he was unconscious. He could see Shuri was holding onto Groot and the ledge of the building.

"SHURI!!!" He yelled up to her. Shuri looked down at him and for the first time he saw her with pure terror on her face. Shit, what's happening. He looked around and then at the lower floors and he noticed flames were on lower floors too. His eyes went wide.

He looked back at Shuri and she seen the flames below too. Then he noticed her hand slipping a little.

Then it struck him. They were too heavy. A tree and him were too much. He looked down to the city sky. What a terrible time to look out to the beautiful city.

He looked back up to Shuri. "It's too heavy for you to hold us!" He shouted up. "Yeah I know but the Avengers will be here soon!" Shuri shouted back at him.

But as she said that he doubted they would. He recognized the missile. More like a bomb. It was the green goblin's bombs except larger. And Norman is probably holding them off.

It didn't help he could hear them fighting a few floors down. He knew Shuri couldn't hold them that long. After a minute or two passed, which felt like an eternity he could see Shuri getting more and more worried. He had to make a decision.

If he let go Groot wasn't as heavy as you think he was. Shuri could hold on longer. And he would obviously have to tell her he was Spider-Man and help them up. But he remained hanging praying the Avengers would get here and could risk them falling and might not catch them. He didn't have web shooters.

"Shuri! I-i have to let go. It's too heavy." He yelled up. "What!? Hell no! Peter don't you dare let go!" Shuri shouted down at him. Below them glass shattered and something fell. That just gave them more reason to believe the Avengers were preoccupied.

He looked up and made eye contact with her. "I can't let you die if I could let go and you two live." He said. He was avoiding just sticking to the wall and helping them up hoping to god the Avengers could get there. But as another small explosion happened below he knew he would have to tell her.

He slowly loosening his grip and Shuri noticed the swaying below. "PETER!! DON'T YOU DARE LET GO! I DON'T CARE IF WE HAVE TO FALL DON'T. LET. GO." Shuri shouted desperation and horror in her voice.

Then suddenly the weight suddenly went lighter.

The weight of the situation hit her like a bus. Peter let go. Peter is now falling.

                  To his death

               So they can live.

             Sacrificed himself.

Tears filled her eyes and she let them fall. They fell down her face and the wind took them away. Peter was dead. Her best friend. Her vine buddy. Had just died a horrible death. Falling, waiting for the final impact. She squeezed her eyes shut and let the tears continue falling for her dead friend.

"Shuri?" A soft voice said. She gasped and opened her red eyes to see Peter next to her clinging to the wall. She went wide eyed. "P-peter?" She asked hesitantly. "I'm so so sorry. I wanted to tell you before. I was going to but I got side tracked. I'm.... Spider-Man" he finally admitted looking afraid to look Shuri in the eye. But he had to so when he faced her he didn't expect to see relief shock and overall joy. "Y-you're alive" her voice cracked as she smiled at him. "Yeah... let me help you up" he said pulling them up.

"Oh my god Peter" Shuri said pulling him into a hug. "I thought you were dead. I thought you let go and fell to your death to let us live. " Shuri said and then pulled away. "So... you're Spider-Man. You two seem really different at times. You're shy and polite. Sometimes. And Spider-Man is full on rebel." Shuri said chuckling softly. "Uh Shuri could we uh not tell the others?" He asked. And Shuri nodded understanding.

Groot started to stir awake. They rushed to his side. He had bad burns and being a tree didn't help. "Hey Groot there was an explosion but we're ok you had the worst of it." Shuri said kneeling at his side.

"Peter Shuri Groot!" They suddenly heard their names. They turned to see the Avengers walking out of the door to the roof.

He would rush to them but there was a big fire between them.

"Are you ok!?" Tony shouted. He turned to Shuri and Groot. Then he turned back and nodded. They were ok.

But for the second time that night he was distracted and by the time his spidey sense spiked and he froze looking around. Then a small craft crashed right through his torso causing his head to slam onto the hard slick surface. As his vision was slightly blurred he didn't mistake the person standing on the craft- glider. Norman Osborn, The Goblin.

By the time he looked up they were high up. Then Norman punched him, hard. After being blown up by a bomb, and ribs destroyed by a glider and head slammed onto the metal he was our for the count.

Before everything went black he heard his name in the far distance. At least they were safe. He knew Norman was after him so the sooner Norman got him the sooner the Avengers and his friends were out of danger.

      Then his world went dark.
