Second month of school started today. I am in my uniform, a white shirt with the school's badge on the breast pocket, a navy blue tie, a sand brown pleated skirt reaching mid thigh and a navy blue blazer with the school’s badge on the pocket.
“Um Luc? From tomorrow, I will be riding with Edward.” Linda sent a pleading gaze my way. “It is alright with you?"
“I’m not stopping you Linda. Don't just ditch me for Edward.” I stated, I’ll knee him if that ever happens.
“Thanks, let's go that's the warning bell.” Hearing a knock Linda's head snapped in that direction. Knowing who it was I got out of the car.
“Is it alright with you girls if you join us?” Aiden asked when we met them in the hallway. They have a floor to themselves where they have private classes, private shower rooms and other stuff.
The girls are waiting for my reply. “You can go on without me.” I don't want to be a third wheel.
“We can't leave you alone.” Ali disagreeing with me. “We’re five minutes late.”
We have the same timetable, we have Chemistry for first period.
“You are…” Mr Davis our chemistry teacher stopped seeing the guys with us. “You are just in time, please take your seats.”
I sat in the third row beside Travis Du Pont, Ardalia in front of me and the guys behind.
“Hey, you good?” Travis asked. He has been waiting for my reply. I don't like him and I don't want to try things out.
I nodded not wanting to disrupt the class.
“Everything alright Luc?” Aiden asked, he treats me like his little sister. The guys do except Gio we're just acquaintances. He is a BLOCKHEAD.
“Yeah.” I responded.
It is lunch break and our table is the centre of attention. It is by luck you see the guys outside their floor.
“You know, you are always welcomed to our floor Luc.” Edward made eye contact with me. “You are not a third wheel.”
I gave him a grateful smile. “I’ll think about it.”
“That’s better than no.” Gio quipped
I have history class last period with Mrs. Ade.
“That will be all for today, see you all in the next lesson and work on your project.” She exited the class.
I was paired with Giovanni, we will be working on Japan’s history. It's due in two weeks.
“Hey!” Hearing Linda's voice I stopped waiting for her and the girls to catch up.
“Is it okay if we hangout with the guys next weekend?" She asked hopefully.
“Is that a question?” Ali feigning disbelief, dramatic.
“Why not? I'm free next weekend.” I muttered rolling my eyes at Ali. It sucks seeing them all lovey dovey.
“Count me in.” Lia began. “Besides Luc you're always free, why don’t you go on a date with one of your suitors?”
“They are not my type.” I replied.
“Luc honey, we don’t want you to be a loner… hmm? Try it first, if it doesn't work out, we won't speak of it again.” I gave Linda 'are you serious' look. “Don’t look at me like that, please for you and your happiness?”
“Fine, just this once.” I have to take the risk. “I think I’ll go with Travis Du Pont, he's been understanding and patient.”
“You sure? I don't get good vibes from him be careful love.” Lia admitted.
“I will.” I assured while we walked to the school's parking lot and sighted the boys leaning against our cars.
Linda rushed to Edward hugging him, she pecked his lips lightly and he whined like a kid. Andrés carried Lia princess style twirling her making her squeal and Aiden is just smirking at Alicia, she tried to hide her blush with her hair but her effort was futile. Nothing misses their eyes
.
“Hi.” I greeted Gio.
“Hi.” He replied.
Okay, now, that was awkward. Is that… yuck!!
“Get a room you guys, who makes slurpy sounds while making out.” I complained with an irritated expression.
“Never made out before? Why don’t we practice.” Gio smirked.
“Get lost Giovanni.” My voice laced with disgust.
“Edward will drive me home, you can take the car.” Linda informed while Gio smirk broaden.
After our first week of school, we continued our normal routine Belinda and I ride together and Ali and Lia ride together since the cars are two seaters. We swap after a week so, we spend enough time together.
“Sorry Luc but can I steal Alicia for today?” Aiden asked giving me those cute puppy eyes.
“Sure, while I count the ceiling in my bedroom.” I mumbled feigning hurt. “Wait, where is Lia?”
“She left with Andrés when you and Gio were bantering like kids.” Aiden answered.
“I’ll take you home?” I asked, it was only my car left.
“My chauffeur could use a break.” Gio said mimicking a french accent smirking. Is it just me or boys loves smirking?
“Luc! lucky!” Turning to the direction of the voice which belongs to Travis. “Hey, what do you say? I'll take you out for dinner tommorow evening?”
Let’s see how things go. “Sure.” Why is he so happy?
“Thanks, I’ll pick you up six sharp.” He hugged me. “Your phone number.”
We exchanged contact details. I boarded my car only to meet Gio's questioning gaze and I decided to ignore it.
“Travis Du Ponche.” He stated calmly.
I responded with silence. I’m not having this talk with him. I am just trying things out and if it doesn't work I’ll end it. After all, I don't really feel comfortable around him my guard is always up.
“Why?” He probbed. “He’s not good for you Lucky.”
Taking a quick glance at him. “That got nothing to do with you Gio, drop it.”
“It won't be a bad idea to see you cry.” He began chuckling. “Rumors travel and you choose to ignore it.”
“Aren’t you supposed to go to your company?” I decided to change the topic.
“Your call.” He shook his head in disappointment. “I’ll freshen up first. Do you know the address?”
“Yes.” I've had to pick the girls up numerous times.
