Ghost — Justin Bieber
I woke up and got ready to run. I changed my outfit and went down the stairs while connecting my headset to my iPod. Before I went to bed last night, I called Nanny Vanessa to pack few things we might need this morning and called my driver to get a car ready to bring the bags nanny packed to the address I sent him. And it's the same car I’ll ride in today.
I jogged on a spot first checking if my running shoes is perfect for running cause I don't want it falling off. I checked the time on iPod and it's 6:00am.
“Young mistress.” My bodyguard greeted when I got out of the house.
“I'm going for a run and no one should follow.” I jogged past her doing one round in the premises first.
Too bad I’m in no mood to admire the scenery, I ran on a slow pace to kill more time. I jogged to the estate gate before jogging back to the villa, I love this estate cause before you get to the next house it takes quite some time and this place is richly green, It's filled with trees. I stopped to take a breath and continued, I stopped in front of the tree I thought I saw someone last night. I checked around the tree for footprints or anything to judge my thoughts, nothing.
“Is anything the matter?” One of the securities on morning patrol asked politely.
“No.” I walked a little further to at least find something to prove I wasn't hallucinating. I walked till I got to another street, so it was like a really small forest? Why didn't Aiden mention this place to me? I would love to have a property here, the greenery and silence is what I love more.
“Guess I saw wrong.” I breathed hopelessly before jogging back in the same direction I came from. “Excuse me!” I knew it. “Hey! I just want to talk.” I ran after the person, why would someone in all black just stand and stare at someone? Creep. “Hey! I'm talking to you!” Fudge!! I kicked the air in annoyance when the person got in a car and zoomed off. “Who would be on my tail?” Aish, for now I’ll back to the villa before anyone notices I’m gone.
“Where were you?” Gio questioned in a stern voice glaring daggers at me.
I jogged past him entering the compound. Keep my distance is what I’ll do from now moron.
“Luc?” An uncertain voice called out when I entered the house.
“Where were you?” Is there no any other sentence apart from that?
“I went jogging.” Why are they so worried?
“You should have at least told someone! Or better still a message will do.” Belinda hugged me crushing me tightly. “You hardly workout Lucky and I’ll like to know what's happening.” She whispered before eyeing my outfit. “Where did that come from?”
“Oh, I called Nanny Vanessa to bring our stuff.” I apologized to her and the girls with my eyes.
“Mom and dad?” Lia shook her head not accepting my silent apology.
“Nanny told them before sending the bags.” I sat on the nearest couch. And I’m sorry, I just felt like it.”
“Did you go perhaps go with anyone or see anyone?” Aiden sighed heavily running a hand through his hair. “I also got clothes prepared for you girls too.”
“No, not at all just me and probably there are some wears that she might not guess the size.” I got up stretching my hands, guessing it should be the helper of this villa since he doesn't know our size. “By the way, nice house.”
“But I’m so sure yours will fit perfectly.” Why won't it? Please spare my single soul.
“You think everything goes the way you want? Did you know how worried they were? Your sisters were? At least think before you take a decision.” Knowing who owns the voice I jogged up the stairs till I got to my temporary room.
I know I should have told one of the girls, this is a new environment and they'll have no idea where I went. I showered first before lying on the bed with only my towel on. I smiled for no reason just staring at the ceiling and nothing’s on my mind, crazy. “Hahaha!!!” I laughed holding my stomach and guess what? Nothing's funny!
“We’ll be having breakfast at the penthouse.” Edward informed when I came down since I was the last person. “Let’s go?” He held my gaze for a few seconds before walking past me with Linda in his arms.
“Ouch!” I slapped Andrés fingers away from my cheeks. What did I do to deserve that pinch? It hurts.
“Don’t go running around alone next time.” He scolded in his brotherly tone. “When did your car arrive?” His confused face made me chuckle.
“Late last night.” I was sleep walking when I came down to type in the passcode. Alicia’s one lucky girl, I don't think I’ll use anything related to my boyfriend as my password. That's If I ever get one.
I got in and the bodyguard drove behind them, we didn’t bring any guards along with us only the shadow guards since they'll be out of sight. The girls wanted to keep me company but nah, I just want me for now.
“Granny!” My cheerful voice came back instantly. “Yes… yes, sure will Gran Gran… promise… yes, I will… bye! Love ya!” Awwn, I miss her and I can't wait to see her. She’s one of those few people I don't want to have bad blood with even Grandpa. “It’s been so long.” I pouted my lips smiling when memories of us came flooding in. My smile faltered when I saw Gio's car in front of mine. “What’s happening? Aren't we supposed to behind ‘them'?”
“They changed lanes all of a sudden and I decided to follow this car since it's the same that has been in front.” My bodyguard glanced at me through the rear view mirror for the next instruction.
I looked back and saw their cars behind mine. Weird, nothing serious though. “Then keep following that car.”
We arrived and packed are things first while Edward our breakfast. The trip is short but I loved it, it was… heart filling and I still feel the thrills from the previous day.
I went to the living of the penthouse and everyone was present except Gio. Ali patted the space beside her for me to sit.
“I love you.” She whispered hugging my arm resting her head on my shoulder. “Always remember that.” She squeezed my arm a little.
I responded by resting my head on hers placing my hand on hers. “I love you too.”
Ding dong
Edward went to get it and it's our meal. We sat at the table while the food is being served and it's all yummy. So, we have milky custard, varieties of sliced fruits, white bread, different kinds of bread spread, porridge, cups of coffee, a jug of chilled mango juice, a jug of chilled black current juice, boiled plantains, soya bean, moi-moi in it's leaf wrap, baked beans, fish sauce, liver pepper sauce, boiled potatoes, white rice, coleslaw… and the list goes one. I think my appetite grew bigger at the sight of these sumptuous dishes.
“I hope my choice isn't bad.” Edward tackled the chicken pie first.
No it's not at all, it's just right. Now let's eat.
