Chapter 19

“We decided you girls will be moving back in today.” Uncle announced while we are having breakfast.

“What!!” We shouted in unison.

“Sir, the car is ready to take the young mistresses to school.” One of the drivers informed before taking his leave.

“Mom, dad please don't do this. We love our home.” Ardalia pleaded giving them puppy eyes.

“I’m sorry.” Aunty continued eating her breakfast.

“Uncle please don't punish us this way be seizing our freedom.” Alicia went to hug him from the back of his chair. “Please, forgive us this once.”

“I’m truly sorry for keeping it from you, please don't do this. I was ashamed to tell anyone what happened, please Aunty say something.” I was on the verge of crying, because of me their freedom will be seized.

“You were beaten up and almost raped Lucky!!” Uncle roared out dropping his cutleries. Alicia tried quelling his anger.

I dropped my head down still holding onto my cutleries griping it tight, the tears flowed freely from my eyes. I was at fault, I should have sensed something was wrong with his weird behavior, the girls warned me about him but I assured them I was fine. Yes, they wanted me to be happy but they did not approve of our relationship.

Someone patted my back and I looked up. “It’s not your fault Luc.” Linda said still patting my back but I could see the hurt in her eyes. I turned and saw the same expression in the girls' eyes. “We were in this together and we are in this together Luc.”

Ardalia hugged me from the side and Linda did the same while Alicia left her former position to join the hug. “I’m sorry.” I broke down again while they tried to calm me down.

“Promise me you'll be extremely careful from now on.” Uncle spoke in his fatherly tone.

“I will and I’m truly sorry.” I promised and stood up to hug him when he spread his arms out for me. “Thank you.” I whispered pecking his cheek before going over to Aunty doing the same.

“Okay, now go clean your face before going to school and don't stay here too long unless you'll be late.” They stood up. “And bring the boys over this evening.”

“Yes, we will. I love you.” We chorused smiling from ear to ear.

“We love you too.” They left the hall, guessing it's time for them to leave I turned climbing the stairs to fix my appearance.

“And what do we have here.” A voice said from behind us, we are at my locker arranging the books I purchased the previous day in my locker.  “And we received your gift.” Aiden said bringing out his private card key from his pocket.

“We are…” I was interrupted.

“Come with us.” Edward said turning to leave with the boys and we followed. We didn't see them all through today even at lunch they weren't present and we concluded they had important meetings they are attending too.

They led us to their private floor and we had our remaining lectures there. They didn't even glance at us when we got in or even tried to talk or answer our questions.

“Wish you luck on the upcoming exams.” Mr. Harp said ending the class.

None of us talked and the silence was really uncomfortable. They obviously found their gadgets interesting.

“Mom and dad invited you guys over for dinner.” Lia broke the silence. “And stop giving us the silent treatment.”

“I’m free tonight Lia.” Andrés ignored her last sentence, and that's a first, he never calls let Lia. Lia tried hiding her hurt expression.

“I’ll be there.” Edward and Aiden agreed to come leaving only Gio left to answer.

“That includes me?” Gio asked randomly.

“Yes.” I replied before clearing my throat. “We are sorry, I’m at fault. Stop giving them the cold shoulder.” I received glares from the girls.

They didn't reply and Linda acted first. “I’m sorry hun.” She side hugged him wrapping her hands around his neck. “Am I forgiven?... Are we?”

Edward made eye contact with the boys communicating silently. “Yes, you are Bella.” He wrapped his hands around her waist kissing her hair.

They all hugged and did a little bit of kissing except Gio and me, I only apologized and he cupped my face using his thump to caress my cheek staring at me intently before glancing at my lips.

“I can't wait to see where all this leads.” Aiden smirked in our direction with Ali on his lap.

“Not happening.” Gio deadpanned replied removing his hand.

“Was that the reply?” Edward raised an eyebrow playing with Linda's hair.

“Still not happening.” Gio gave no expression and I’m confused, trying to understand their coded conversation.

“Don't let that stop you man, a gift can be unwrapped.” Andrés advised hold my gaze for a while. “Back to our offenders, who was the mastermind behind the plot you girls carried out?”

What was that?

“How…” Lia paused darting her eyes among us and we shrugged not knowing how they found out. We thought they only knew about the cards we took.

“We retrieved the deleted files and we also had a Back-up.” He answered giving us time to answer.

“I was.” I confessed coming clean.

“We know.” Aiden gave me his smug smile. “We wanted to be sure so, we don't conclude wrongly.”

“So… we good?” I pray so, I can't get us in anymore trouble.

“Not yet, for now let's honor Lia's parents invitation.” They don't know how we ended up living with the Gomez before building our house or whatever we passed through and our developments. Ali once said she'll tell Aiden about her love for arts and her being an artist that she doesn’t want anything coming between them, so, I’m guessing he knows by now.
