WHILE ON THE PLANE:

"I must admit she's very good at what she does," Dinah said closing the book and looking at Normani who was walking beside her.

"And she's very pretty too," Normani replied. Both women were in first-class thanks to Dinah Jane's contacts.

"She's very pretty," Dinah said as she looked at the back cover of the book with a picture of a smiling Camila Cabello. "Lauren must be crazy about her," she said softly.

"I just hope she's a good person," Normani said with feeling. "If she's not, I'd feel very sorry for Ryan."

Dinah looked at Normani and saw the sad look on her face and understood that it was very difficult for her since she was as close to Lauren as she was to Ryan, although Dinah knew that Lauren would always come first.

"I know this situation must be difficult for you" -Normani just sighed.

"I love Ryan very much and I don't understand what Lauren is doing. She may be dazzled, I hope this is temporary and she realizes she may lose a good man over a silly and simple horniness with something new to her.

"Do you think she's just experimenting?" -Dinah asked.

"I can't say for sure that she's just experimenting," she sighed, "But I'm sure she knows that's impossible. They're both married, Dinah," she said in a whisper. "And besides, Lauren is never going to say what's going on in public. Never ever."

"If her feelings are too strong, she might do it," Dinah said.

"Lauren always comes across as a very confident woman and talks a lot about how you have to overcome your problems and everything," Normani said softly. "But I know that inside she's a very scared little girl and unsure of things."

"Just like you?" Normani was taken aback by her friend's words and turned around.

"What do you mean by that?" she said softly.

"She's just as insecure as you when it comes to going out into the world and showing them your talent" Dinah sighed. "With Lauren's support you'd be on top Mani and you know it."

"For now I'm fine and all that matters is Lauren" Normani turned to the window watching the clouds and sunshine filtering through the plane.

"Is it because of that guy you're dating?" Dinah asked. "What's his name?"

"His name is Jake," Normani sighed, "And he's not "a guy I'm dating," he's my boyfriend, Dinah."

"I know," she smiled. "Is it because of him that you don't want to go out into the world and show off your talent?"

"I go out and show my talent to everyone," Normani said. "Lauren is a great artist who has never felt superior to us her backup singers."

"Lauren is wonderful and I know she lets you guys have solos and perform but... Is that what you want? To be a backup singer your whole life when Lauren herself wants you to go solo."

"I'm fine with that," Normani said coldly and Dinah sighed, "I don't want the pressures that come with being in front of the cameras. You can't have privacy, now I see the world how I want and when I want and no one is after me making my life miserable," she looked at her friend. "Just look what happened at the airport when they saw you come in. People around you can't even travel in peace."
