"And tonight I wanna drive so far we'll only find static on the radio and we can't see those city lights and I love the way you look in a firefly glow, saying everything without making a sound, a cricket choir in the background, underneath a harvest moon standing on your shoes in my bare feet, dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat".
"Heartbeat" Carrie Underwood
VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:
"Was it necessary to bring your entire closet with you? Dinah asked as they waited for all of Normani's luggage to come out and adjusted her glasses.
"As if with glasses you could keep people from recognizing you," Normani laughed as she saw Dinah look around, suddenly expecting to be attacked as she had been twenty minutes earlier when she entered the airport.
Dinah sighed as she thought about Mani's words on the plane. The life of an artist was hard. Privacy was pretty much limited to what you did alone at home or in exclusive places where you could finally be free. Many times people didn't value what went on behind the scenes. Everyone looks at artists, whether they are singers, actors or actresses, as if they were some kind of gods who are untouchable and can never make a mistake.
Dinah knew that just as fame brought many positive things and many personal benefits, it could also be the trigger that a person like her, an ordinary woman who had the opportunity to fulfill her dreams could not enjoy a vacation without having photographers and reporters lurking around looking for the most embarrassing moment, or a new partner she might have.
Just then a loud scream was heard in the airport and Dinah and Normani turned to see what it was about. At the entrance they could see two women walking in who were quickly surrounded by a group of people, and at that moment they both met each other's eyes and smiled. Lauren Jauregui had just walked through the airport gate. Normani's bags began to come out and she and Dinah quickly gathered them together so they could leave.
Lauren smiled at her fans while out of the corner of her eye she saw Camila next to her. Photographs, autographs. She only had two minutes in the place. Lauren never ceased to be surprised by that kind of thing.
"Are you going to do any concerts here in Canada?" asked one of the fans and Lauren smiled at her, seeing that she had beautiful blue eyes.
"I'm just on vacation this time but I hope to come soon and give you an amazing concert," she said smiling kindly at her.
"Lauren I love you so much," said another woman. "I have been your fan for a long time since The Beginning and when I heard that Dinah Jane was coming to Canada I knew it was to meet you" Lauren smiled sweetly at her. "I love you, you are like my biggest crush. You are beautiful."
"Well, thank you very much," she laughed apologetically, "You're very pretty too."
"How is Ryan?" asked another and Lauren watched her for a moment.
"He's very well, thank you," Lauren smiled.
"He's very cute," smiled the fan and Lauren nodded as she continued signing autographs.
Camila smiled beside her and at that moment she noticed some curious eyes staring at her.
"You're Camila Cabello, right, the writer?" said a person suddenly turning to Camila, causing Lauren to stop writing and look at her.
"Yes," Camila said shyly and the woman clapped her hands excitedly.
"I've read your books and they are wonderful," she said hugging Camila while Lauren smiled, "Can I take a picture with you?
"Well..." Camila nodded shyly and then a few more people joined another American "celebrity".
"Her books are excellent," Lauren said to the group around her. "She has an amazing talent," Camila looked at her for a moment. "You should buy them, I have them all. She's an amazing writer."
