THE NEXT DAY:

WHISTLER STATION:

"Good morning Mr. Duval," said a tall, bespectacled man extending his hand which Jason shook with a smile.

"Good morning Mr. Foster" Jason smiled and sat down at the table and the other man quickly followed.

"How is your wife?" Arnold Foster said as he took a sip of his coffee.

"She is still in very delicate health," Jason said quickly. "The weather in Miami is very different from Canada and that affected her a lot."

"I hope she is feeling better so we can get together quickly," Arnold said with a smile. "What did she think of the proposal I sent her? Did she have time to review it?"

"Since we met last time she couldn't join us for dinner, I talked to her. She's very excited that her talent was considered."

"It was unfortunate that she couldn't join us that night," Arnold smiled. "I'm looking forward to meeting her."

"She feels the same way," Jason smiled. "As her manager, I can tell her that the proposal is fine with her, but there are some adjustments to be made with the percentage. She wants some of it to go to me," he smiled. "She feels she owes me a lot for what I've helped her with in her career."

"Sure, we could arrange that with the lawyer once she accepts the contract."

"How many movies are we talking about?" Jason said smiling.

"I don't know exactly but we have a good budget. Love stories always sell a lot, and your wife's book has been a record seller, I think with a little more publicity we could have a good release. We are willing to take on the promotion of your book worldwide. We would translate it into several languages so that its impact would be greater."

"I read..." he interrupted himself, "We were discussing with Camila some aspects that need to be changed. For example, travel," he smiled, "I think I could take care of all your publicity strategy and work with you. No one knows Camila better than I do."

"If that's your decision, we can agree to it," he smiled. "What we want is for her to feel comfortable working with us. Your wife has enormous potential and we want this film to break the box office. We have a wonderful cast in mind with big movie stars, and we want her to tell us what she thinks of the project in general so that the script can begin to be written."

Jason's eyes sparkled when he heard that. Finally Camila's stupidity was paying off. And best of all, it couldn't have come at a better time. Right now Camila Cabello was in his hands.

A million-dollar contract to make a movie of one of her books. Camila Cabello was finally good for something. Jason smiled as he listened to Arnold Foster talk about how wonderful the contract would be. Arnold was one of the most recognized producers in the film industry. And he didn't understand how it was that they had become interested in Camila.

Jason could recognize that she had reasonable book sales. In fact, she was doing very well, even if her stories were not to his liking. Although to be honest he had never read Camila's books. Not even the first one when they started dating. He had lived with the woman for two years and knew little about her. He only knew that it was finally paying off that he had married her.

Camila was beautiful but she was mediocre in everything else. A coward, mediocre in bed and not at all sensual. But he had put up with her and now he was going to get his reward. Jason smiled coldly. Camila still knew nothing about the contract but that didn't matter because Jason knew she would do what he told her to do. Always.
