"They were two strangers who rode horses every morning while the silence was their companion. And little by little the silences turned into small conversations and those small conversations into exchanges of point of view and thoughts. And those exchanges of thoughts and views then turned into heated discussions about life. Pierre could be a mere beggar next to a princess-like Rachel. A woman who had everything. But there was something Pierre could do that no one else in the world could do with Rachel. Pierre could make her smile."

WHILE IN JASON AND CAMILA'S ROOM:

"I don't want the clothes to get ruined," Jason said as he lay on the bed and Camila sighed unpacking the suitcase while her brown eyes were dull and desperate.

"Lauren."

It was all Camila could think about as she listened to Jason talk and talk about what he had done at the hotel. Lauren was with Ryan in the room and all Camila wanted was to run and have a moment to be with her again. A moment to feel her lips and body again. A tear escaped her eyes and she quickly wiped it away as she continued to put Jason's clothes away.

"Ryan had me sick and tired of talking about how much he missed Lauren," Camila felt her heart race at the sound of her name. "Did you make good friends with her?"

Camila simply sighed as she continued to put the clothes away, ignoring the question. Jason stood up angrily from the bed feeling ignored as Camila continued to turn her back on him.

"What are you stupid?" -Jason grabbed her arm and turned her around while Camila just looked down, "I asked you if you made good friends with that shitty singer?"

"Don't talk about her like that," Camila said strongly, looking him in the eye, and Jason was surprised to hear her speak loudly for the first time since their marriage.

"I assume that means yes," Jason said dryly. "If you defend her so passionately, you're probably good friends with her even though we've only been here a week and you don't know her very well. But I'm glad to know that because it makes my plans so much better."

"Plans?" -Camila said softly and Jason smiled.

"You know damn well that you're a useless good-for-nothing Camila," Jason said coldly. "But maybe this time you can be good for something."

Camila simply lost her voice as she stared at him feeling totally inferior to him. Her thoughts flew to Lauren and her sweet words of the previous days and she clenched her hands tightly. Lauren had told her that she was special, that she was valuable and Jason with just three words had once again thrown her acquired confidence to the floor.

"I want you to get close to Lauren," he looked into her eyes, "I want you to become her friend and finally get me that job you promised me."

"I don't understand..." Camila whispered, looking him in the eye and Jason looked at her coldly.

"I forgot that with you, I have to explain things as if I were talking to a stupid two year old girl," Jason said coldly. "I want you to become her friend, her best friend. I want them to think that we have a relationship as good as the two of them that they can't be without each other. You owe me."

"Do you want us to pretend we get along so they'll give you a job?" -Camila's voice sounded incredulous. "They know how you treat me."

Jason saw her furious and grabbed her by the arm, sticking her to the closet with his eyes fixed on her.

"What did you say to stupid Lauren?" -Jason said coldly, "Did you play the victim?"

"I didn't talk about you with Lauren," Camila said scared. "We talked about other things but not about you."
