"What day is it? And in what month? This clock never seemed so alive. I can't keep up and I can't back down I've been losing so much time"

"You and Me" Lifehouse

Lauren felt someone following her but thought nothing of it as she drove to the record label after dropping Camila off at Ally's house to start working on the evidence they had against Jason and for Camila to finally file the complaint. Lauren had had every intention of being with her in the process but her label had called her in for a meeting and it was a commitment that Lauren couldn't run away from. Dinah was also in a meeting with her label and Normani had accompanied her.

Lauren looked in the rearview mirror again and realized that the same car that had been following her for a few minutes was still behind her and she began to think it might be a paparazzi looking for news. She hadn't had any problems with the press yet because they had made everything very private with Camila. Lauren couldn't help but smile remembering the night before.

She had made love to Camila without hurting her, just making her enjoy all the love she had for her. Then they had both walked into the house completely naked while smiling. Lauren had fetched the suitcases from the car and then they had taken a shower in the guest room which was on the second floor as Camila still couldn't climb the stairs.

Lauren smiled as she remembered how she had let herself be talked into watching Tangled with Camila as she listened to her giggle like a little girl lying on her chest. At that moment Lauren realized that this was what she had always been looking for. She had been very fond of Ryan, but she had never had that feeling of fulfillment that came with having Camila close to her. Listening to her laugh, listening to her sing while doing something as simple as watching a movie and that filled her with emotion.

The two had smiled at each other and kissed like a couple of teenagers at a movie theater while watching the movie. Lauren couldn't describe that moment with any other word than perfect. That morning Lauren had woken up with a smile on her face as she felt Camila's warm body next to her. She had made breakfast for the two of them and brought it to bed where they had shared ideas for the house while listening to some music. It was like living the perfect life. And Lauren only hoped it would stay that way for a long time.

She looked in the rearview mirror again at the car following her but stopped worrying the moment she saw her record label building in front of her. It was time to find out what would happen to her career and for the moment that was all that mattered.

WHILE IN ANOTHER PART OF MIAMI:

"I promise you we had no idea this was going on and that the signatures were forged" the Universal Studios representative said to the cops who were interviewing them along with Camila, Ally and the lawyers Lauren had hired.

"The signatures do not match Ms. Cabello's in any way," said the policeman. "It is a clear forgery of documents and contract. How could you not corroborate it? Even the signature on the supposed power of attorney and the one on the pre-contract with you do not match."

"The lady's husband was meeting with one of our agents in Canada and he claimed that she was sick all the time," the man said, looking sideways at Camila, who remained seated in the wheelchair, still with the blows reflected on her face. "Now we know what illness she was suffering from," he sighed, "We want to work with you, Miss Cabello, and rest assured that if you need our support you can count on us for any statement."

"Thank you very much," she whispered. "For me it is an honor that you took my talent into account and want to take it to the big screen. I'm very sorry that things didn't turn out the way they should have, but I would love to be part of your work group."
