FOUR YEARS LATER....

You fix your make up, just so
Guess you don't know, that you're beautiful
Try on every dress that you own
You were fine in my eyes a half hour ago

And if your mirror won't make it any clearer I'll
Be the one to let you know

Out of all of the girls
You're my one and only girl
Ain't nobody in the world tonight

All of the stars, you make them shine like they were ours
Ain't nobody in the world but you and I
You and I
Ain't nobody in the world but you

You stop the room when we walk in
Spotlight's on everybody's staring
Tell all of these boys they're wasting their time
Stop standing in line, 'cause you're all mine

"Wait," a woman whispered as she looked at the little brown-eyed girl glued to her body, "It's here..." Lauren said as she took the little finger and guided it to the correct piano key.

"This, mama?" asked the little girl looking at her questioningly with her eyes full of hope as the sound of the piano note came out perfectly making Lauren smile.

"That's perfect baby," Lauren whispered, kissing the top of her head sweetly. And the little girl smiled radiantly at her. "You're so much better than me."

"No," she shook her head and laughed looking at her mom. "You are famous and play the piano in front of many people. My mommy Camila says you are the best."

"To me the best pianist is my daughter," Lauren said gently squeezing the tip of her three-year-old daughter's nose as she sighed.

Her daughter's brown eyes sparkled as she hugged her tightly against her chest and closed her eyes. Feeling her daughter's warmth was like feeling Camila. They were so identical in so many ways. The way her daughter wrinkled her nose when she laughed, the way she put her tongue between her teeth in amusement. The way she made her heart race just by looking into her eyes.

Her heart throbbed at the appreciation of her life and how much she had changed over the years. Her hands gently caressed her little girl's back as she sighed.

"When is my mommy coming back?" Elizabeth asked Lauren, who pulled away from her embrace for a moment.

"Have you been bored being with me for two weeks already? I'm a lot more fun than she is."

"I want my princess story," Lizzie whispered, looking at Lauren tenderly. "My mommy was reading the story."

"I can't tell the stories like Camila but I can sing you to sleep." Lizzie smiled but her eyes showed how much she missed Camila and Lauren felt nostalgic.

Camila was promoting her new book "Letters of Love", a book that talked about their story together and had been very successful. Her trip had lasted three weeks of which this week they were on was the last. Lauren sighed thinking about how much she missed her when she was on tour or when Camila was promoting her book. Lauren was the one who traveled the most due to promotions and Camila was the one who spent time with Elizabeth.

Lately Lauren was thinking very seriously about what was going on in her life and what direction she should take to stop traveling so much. She missed Camila and her daughter terribly when she was gone for such long periods of time. Before she had Lizzie it was easier because Camila accompanied her on her trips; but now Lizzie had a life, was going to kindergarten and needed stability.
