1/10 TO THE END
"I'm prepared for this. I never shoot to miss but I feel like a storm is coming. If I'm gonna make it through the day then there's no more use in running. This is something I gotta face"
Writing's On The Wall from the album The Beginning the Dinah Jane
5/6 MARATHON
"Dinah, my God," Lauren said as she tried to help her friend wake up. "Normani!" Lauren shouted quickly and Normani ran out of the room followed by Patrick. "Normani I need you to go get a first aid kit. I think there's one in the bathroom down the hall."
"What happened to her?" Lauren sighed, putting Dinah's head in her lap.
"Just go please," Lauren said and Normani nodded running to the bathroom.
"This is just the beginning Lauren," her manager said and Lauren ignored him completely. "You must deny things and move on with your career or you are going to lose everything and maybe your friends too. Remember it's not just you in this."
Lauren didn't respond, stroking Dinah's hair but listening to Patrick's words with pain. This couldn't be happening. It couldn't be happening when she had finally decided to be free and speak the truth. And now she stood there, her heart in her throat thinking of all that would happen if Jason ever got everything they had talked about that morning.
Maybe she had just taken pictures, but Lauren had learned that things don't always go as planned. It was very likely that Jason had his hands on something to get revenge or want to blackmail her and Lauren was going to have to swallow her pride and bargain with him. Not for her sake, but for the sake of her friends. Normani arrived at that moment and between the two of them they tried to help Dinah who was still unconscious that was definitely not something Lauren had seen coming.
Ryan knocked loudly on the door as he waited for Jason to open it. He had no doubt that he had been the one to spread the news about Lauren.
WHILE IN MIAMI:
"Open the door Duval" he said shouting and banging on the door- "I know it was you so open the door."
At that moment the door opened and Jason appeared shirtless and in his underwear as Ryan rushed into the house grabbing him by the collar.
"I never thought you would stoop so low," Ryan said loudly and Jason started laughing.
"I was having hot sex with a woman waiting for me upstairs. I guess I was expecting you much earlier assuming you would find out the truth sooner or later. I guess you came to thank me?"
"Stop posting things like that anymore," Ryan said firmly and Jason at that moment pulled his hands away from his neck looking at him angrily.
"You're not going to tell me what to do Green," Jason said laughing, "Are you sad about your wife? I told you that while you were planning your perfect life she could be fucking someone else, and look how life is," he said ironically. "Turns out she was fucking my wife."
"You knew that" Jason smiled and nodded.
"Your dear wife seemed to be in such a hurry that she even went so far as to sneak into my room to take my wife away" Jason watched them. "They spent hours and hours doing it in the studio and I discovered them."
Ryan grabbed him by the neck again but Jason stopped him still laughing as he saw that Ryan's eyes were full of pain.
"Shut up," Ryan said loudly.
"Don't you want to know the rest?" Jason laughed. "Now it turns out that your wife's entire group of friends are lesbians. One Normani even slept with her."
