The next day during the day. Yelena and Kate meet up to talk. They are both a little standoffish. They don't know what to expect. Both of them are hurt for different reasons.
Kate: Look I'm sorry for being harsh the other day. But I hope you understand where I was coming from.
Yelena: I get it, I really do. I came in with no warning. I don't think I deserved that.
Kate: No. But it was so much of a shock. You were sent here to kill Peter. It threw me off seeing you. I can't trust you Yelena. Even if you are our new leader. Even if you are Nat's sister.
Yelena: Well, I can't trust you either. I don't really trust anyone. Trusting someone takes time. I would appreciate it if you didn't talk about my past and hold it against me.
Kate: Okay.
Kate stares at Yelena. She doesn't really know what else to say. They just can't trust each other.
Yelena: So Kate. What do we do?
Kate: I don't know.
Yelena: Okay. We don't have to trust each other. But we do have to work together. I'll see you soon for our first mission together. okay?
Kate shakes her head yes.
