Chapter 35: Pandora's Box

(A process that once begun, generates many complicated problems)

With my heart lumped inside my throat, Druig and I came running from the room where we had our conversation, back to Phastos' lab. We are out of breath for sure, as we fear something terrible is happening.

However, I know we can teleport from the hallways straight to the room where the others are, but I don't believe in the fact I have mastered that power yet.

I know I have done it before, but I guess I need to focus myself more when I'm about do to that, and as of right now, I'm not totally focused.

I'm scared, frightened, but also kind of interested as what I'm about to expect on the other side of the Domo, as the screams don't sound so pleasant.

"Thena, stop it!" I heard Ikaris shout angrily, as they all knew what was going on, even tho they couldn't stop her with their powers. And that's the moment Druig and I frantically came running into the room, observing the situation.

I heard my heart beating faster, my breathing increase just like Druig beside me, as we're both looking confused towards the situation. But my eyes are also wide open in disbelief, as I see what's happening.

Thena created her weapons again with her cosmic energy, attacking everybody in the room while they're also trying to fight and stop her.

But what scares me the most, are her white glowing eyes, as her white dress floated above the air because of her attacking movements.

Not only that, but the fact some of the Eternals are helping each other frantically, as they're groaning in pain on the floor because of her attacks, trying to fight, or hide from her.

The lab that was messy in the first place, because of the pile of books or other artifacts Makkari had collected, looks like a ruin.

There are some hiding spots for the Eternals, while some of them tried to fight her, but with the demons controlling Thena, they aren't really standing a chance. Not even Ikaris, supposedly the strongest of them all.

And besides, with all of the Eternals in the room, using their powers against Thena at the same time, for example Makkari's speed, they could really hurt each other.

Phastos' lab is a small space, and with all these artifacts it's even worse, so instead of trying to help Thena, they're digging a hole for themselves they can't get out of.

They can run away ofcourse, but that wouldn't be human, even if they aren't one themselves. They want to help their fellow Eternal, as she is again in trouble.

When I see Thena's eyes, fighting with the cosmic energy weapons Arishem created her with, the fragments of the night in the woods in 1521 came right back to me.

I don't know how it's happening, as I thought Gilgamesh healed her when the Deviants attacked them in the Amazon like Sersi told me, but I guess something did awaken the devil, and well, I guess that was me.

I have forgotten the fact Thena also watched my memories revealing themselves with the truth, as Druig told them everything, and hell, they all stood there in the lab, as Sersi and I were almost unconscious.

It wasn't my intention ofcourse, but I guess we have opened a pandora's box, and we got even more problems than solutions.

The screams and fighting are still filling this lab, trying to stop Thena, as she almost floated inside the room to take a hit at everyone. Because of this chaotic situation, I wanted to do something, but even if Ikaris can't stop her, than who am I?

"Ikaris, do something!" Sprite shouted in fear, as her illusions didn't work on the goddess of war, and because of the voices, Thena became even more angrier, which are seen in the drawing of her weapons.
