(Outcomes of a purposeful action that are not intended or foreseen)

I see myself overrun with rocks, unaware of my total surroundings, as it's only black with grey that is blocking my vision. I only hear my own heartbeat, and my body hurts like crazy.

And it isn't just that, because what once was a slightly quiet volcano, just with thunder and red hot lava, has become louder for my part. We are definitely closer to it!

But those thoughts faded, as I suddenly hear someone next to me cough loudly. It's from the dust the rocks and our slam on the ground have made. And I know it's someone I just tried to save, Druig, being still inside my arms.

"Druig, are you okay?" I asked him worriedly, afraid he died because of Ikaris' attack, but his coughing makes me sigh in relief. However, I am thinking more about him than myself to be honest, because I'm laying in the exact same position as him.

"Chloe, what the hell did you do?" Druig asked me trembling, making me happy to hear him being okay, while I avoid his question totally.

I guess this is a way for him to say thank you, and he was aware of me catching him in mid-air, slowing down the fall for him.

But somehow, I wasn't aware of the dust from the rocks that made their way into my mouth also. That's why I coughed right away, feeling this weird tickle inside my throat.

"Easy love." He calmly spoke, even tho I am not. We are both laying in a ruin of rocks, trying to get up on our feet, but it's more difficult than I thought, as I hear the rocks rumble above me because of me trying to get out.

"We need to get up Druig." I groaned in pain, thinking about the fact the others are still out there, trying to stick to the plan.

Maybe they're thinking we are dead, so we need to make sure to let the others know of our presence, and help them defeat Ikaris.

But that is going to be difficult if someone next to me can't get up, and is definitely hurt by the process.

"I can't Chlo." He groaned in pain, while I stumbled a little to get myself properly on my feet, and it's then I see everything better, but it isn't a good sign.

My heart started to beat faster because of hearing his words, as my body began to have goosebumps all over. It is clear Druig can't get up on his own, and even if I tried to save him, Ikaris has still hurt him the most.

Druig's laying there between the rumble on the ground, as his suit is severely damaged, besides the dust that's covering our bodies from the fall. I can only look at him worriedly, while I reached out my hand for him to grab between the rumble.

"Come on." I groaned, and luckily enough, I suddenly feel his hand tangling inside mine. It made me pull him to his feet, while the rocks besides him stumbled away and on the ground again.

I immediately swung his arm over my shoulder, while mine grabbed his waist, as we're both trying to stand properly on our feet.

Druig sighed heavily, as he holds me tightly. I can definitely see and feel he's hurt, but I'm happy he's standing beside me, knowing he didn't die like I thought.

Suddenly we both stared at each other to see we are okay. He too has a worrying look that soon enough turned into a relieving one, because I am standing right beside him.

My heart suddenly skipped a beat when he pulled me into a hug tightly, wanting to cheer and cry at the same time.

"Druig." I said relieving, as he softly tried to rock me back and forth during the hug, hearing him sigh in relief because of feeling my presence, and likewise.
