This world's a treasure, but it's been telling us to leave for a while, as I start to notice when the screams of despair were slipping into my ears in no time. Are we not meant to live a quiet and peaceful life? I guess you can already answer that one.

It made Druig and I immediately stand up to run back towards the village, while we're both in panic mode. And because of the screams just now, knowing Druig saw there is an attack going on in this village, I know it's something serious.

It's an ambush at Druig's compound, because of these monsters called Deviants, which made my heart lump into my throat immediately. Besides the fact my breathing increased because of all the running.

I always hoped I would never come across these monsters, but yet I was wrong again, and I was about to just like the villagers I couldn't protect at this moment. And even the mind controller came late at the exact same time the villagers needed him the most.

It's when things started to go wrong even more when Druig and I came to a sudden halt in the village. My eyes were already wide open in shock, but it also made my body not feel the same anymore when I started to see the horror of these so-called Deviants.

I didn't even know where to look. It looks like they're everywhere, feeling the Eternals can't also be at the same position where they stood, knowing they had to split up to defeat every single Deviant to protect this village that's luckily still standing.

However, I know it won't be for long.

Because of our sudden stop in the village, we're somehow standing close to Sersi, Sprite, Kingo and this other man with his metal object in his hand. I don't know what it is exactly, but I sure do know it shouldn't be used at this moment right now.

As what scares me the most, are the other villagers whom are not to be seen, even tho Druig heard some of the painful screams inside of his head. It means they're trying to hide from these monsters in order from the rest of the Eternals, or they're still in their houses, unknown of the situation going on outside.

Anyhow, every situation was going to work the same way, and it doesn't mean any good.

My internally thoughts were suddenly interrupted when Kingo started to fight this Deviant that keeps attacking us from a distance, as if this Deviant was already in sight for the others, but I was somehow too distracted to realize what kind of situation I am in.

But luckily, he used his powers to blast the Deviant as far away as possible from us, as this monster kept flying into the bushes close to the dense-grown forest. And Kingo, he kind of has, finger guns?

It's then it wasn't just the beating of my heart I almost heard pumping outside my chest, but also the loudest screech I've ever heard in my entire life, which made my ears almost bleed, and step back because of the sudden moment.

And by the sound of it, I know it's the Deviant that tried to survive Kingo's defense. Eventually, it bumped into a cabin because of Kingo's powers, bursting the cabin into flames while the Deviant is still underneath it.

Because of that, I feel my breathing going up and down really fast, like it even did that before, but I luckily know there's no other villager in that building, as it's the blacksmith's cabin who took a day off today.

But still, the village!

"My god." I shivered my words, as I can't even come to my sense when immediately after the blast I started to witness a loud bang coming from this small cabin that's standing far away from us, but yet so close.

It made all of the Eternals look in fear, as the cabin started to crumble down when the wood the cabin was made of was burned. Oxygen and other elements released themselves into the atmosphere, while the minerals turned into ashes.
