"Anna no!" I shouted in my mother tongue to warn the little girl right away, as my heart started to beat faster in an instant when I saw her running towards the conference cabin like a crazy person, even tho I can't exactly stop her.
Why the hell was Maeve, her mother, not taking care of her own daughter? Especially when everyone knows we are having uninvited guests, but maybe Anna thought it would be okay to interrupt a conversation like this.
However, you can see it on my face I am not approving this at all, even tho I'm not her mother.
And besides, I am not trusting the Eternals yet, as I only know them from Druig's memories, and I never psychically met them. Who knows, they could've been changed over the past 7,000 years, and I feel it isn't save for a five year old girl like Anna.
However, I said before I think Anna is a smart girl, but this time, it wasn't such a good idea to let her loose, if I can say it like this. Not so smart Anna. Not that smart.
"Can you play with me Druig?" Anna suddenly asked Druig softly and with puppy eyes almost, as she already made her way towards him in a fast amount of time, making him look at her in curiosity right away.
However, he didn't think he was being interrupted like this all of a sudden. He did leave the door open, which was probably not a good idea. Anyhow, Druig had experienced this before, as Anna is always the one who likes to spend most of the time with him, even at these unpleasant circumstances.
"Ah, you have a fan Druig. How cute is that." Kingo suddenly exclaimed proudly, but at the same time in a sarcastic way, which was understandable. They just had a discussion that did end abruptly because of Sersi, so Kingo thought it was time for him to finally clap back.
Nonetheless, Druig always finds a way to adapt his preferences onto Anna, and sometimes the other children, as she's still a young child. They like to play hide and seek the most, and sometimes even with her brother Thomas, but he is unfortunately not here to protect his little sister.
Everything went so fast for me to even comprehend, making my heart beat even faster, but unfortunately I couldn't stop Anna from running into the conference cabin, as I somehow quickly followed after her, while she's already at Druig's feet, begging him.
Instead, my heart lumped into my throat, as I am greeted by the other Eternals all of a sudden, looking towards me confusingly, but also still a little towards Anna, who's standing in front of Druig, begging for his attention.
This moment also went to fast for them to comprehend, as for me only Makkari would have understood this situation completely. Sadly, the speedster isn't here to tell them that.
"And apparently another one." Sprite suddenly exclaimed in interest, as they also got their eyes on me in no time, which made me wanna crawl into a corner right away. It was somehow an instinct that got into me, making me wondering if Druig already knew I was wiretipping the entire conversation.
However, when I stepped into the cabin a little casually, at least trying to, I got to see everyone's features even better. I tried to observe their faces for a moment to recognize them from his memories, and somehow it's easy enough as I thought it would be.
It made me think about the list of names next to my bed; Sersi, Ikaris, Kingo, Gilgamesh, Thena, and Sprite. And ofcourse this young man I don't know the name of, as he isn't an Eternal for sure.
However, it isn't just the Eternals that caught my attention, because there's still another man in this cabin right now, staring at me like he didn't see me for months. It made our eyes lock for a moment, feeling myself blushing right away.
