2 weeks later
Druig's former compound, The Amazon, 2023

Druig and I decided to visit our former home. The one place I still promised to visit after we saved the world, and luckily, we did.

I just can't imagine this beautiful forest with the village within the Amazon to be gone, which makes me happy and smiling all day long, knowing these people still live their lives to the fullest.

Nothing has really changed when we left. These people didn't actually need Druig back to lead them again, but they still missed him in the village somehow, watching over them like they're used to, just like me teaching the children at school.

I know they still had some fear, knowing we were gone to save their planet. The children on the other hand, especially the younger ones, didn't had a clue of what was going on. They just went to school, eat, sleep, play, and do it all over again.

The eldery ones tried to do the same, but I know they sometimes still feared they might be gone with a snap of a finger, if we failed our mission.

Something Thanos did, which will hopefully never happen again.

So when we got back, that fear was all gone, and I couldn't be happier than ever to see all of their happy faces again.

There's literally no fear, pain or suffering to see, which makes me see the beauty in them, and knowing we did the right thing by saving this planet.

It's like we are back in the garden of eden. Beautiful in every way.

My old house is still here, untouched, which is why I gathered some of my stuff from my home to bring along.

The paper with the names of the Eternals, I threw that away, because now I've learned all of their names properly. It's funny that I used to know their names a long time ago.

As of right now, it's broad daylight, which makes Druig telling the story about our mission to the villagers around the bonfire. However, that bonfire isn't ofcourse lightened up.

Literally everyone gathered around to be seated on the wooden logs, while the excitement is definitely there to listen to Druig, who is telling the whole story from the moment we left.

Ofcourse I am only half listening, because I've experienced it all with him. He's at the part where Sersi and I froze the big Celestial Tiamut in the Indian Ocean, in order to save the planet.

And let me tell you, he tells this with a lot of excitement, making every single villager listening interested.

And me, well, my heart is beating faster every time he opens his mouth, as Druig is seated with his black leather jacket on like before, making him attractive like ever.

Somehow, I still feel a little weird coming back to this place. I know there are a lot of things still ahead of us, and with us saying goodbye soon enough, isn't making it better.

With me coming back, I almost feel like I am afraid of time. It's because I was used to this life, figuring out it was all a lie.

And I have somehow seen more of this planet, like stone buildings, roads, beaches, instead of just wooden cabins in this green rainforest.

I was always running after the truth that needed to be revealed. In the meantime, trying to lead a group I haven't met properly yet. It has been a hell of a journey, I can tell you that.

And with so many things revealed, I am somehow still questioning even more things after the Battle of the Emergence.

I am for example still wondering how Druig can talk into my head, even if I'm an Eternal. I don't know if he can do that to his fellow Eternals also?
