Chapter 50: The Stranger (epilogue)

"I got you!" I suddenly hear a familiar voice shouting, while I feel myself falling back towards the ground, bumping into someone who catches me, as this person doubted not a second to get me into safety.

It went really fast to even comprehend, that my heart lumped into my throat. It's Druig who catches me.

But at the same time when I fell down, I hear a sudden scream, surprisingly coming from Makkari. I heard her voice when I landed in Druig's arms, knowing I am back in the Domo like Arishem wanted after his departure.

But what the hell did I just experience?!

"I got you." Druig comforted me softly, holding me tightly, while I hear him sigh because of his sudden rescue. I am happy to know he's there for me, caring about me, and saving me when the need arises!

He softly rocks me back and forth in his arms on the ground, as I hold his arms tightly. I am breathing heavily, shaking and trembling, and not able to calm down myself with what I just went through. All the emotions are also all over the place.

But luckily, Druig's hug is making me calm down a little, when also Makkari and Thena kneeled in front of me.

I stared towards them in fear, as their faces are nothing but worried, desperately wanting to know what I just went through.

"Chloe, what happened?" Makkari asked me confusingly, but I can't answer them yet, as I am still shaken up because of the experience.

I want to point out Thena was right when I went into this nightmare, and luckily, she noticed I am struggling with my way to tell them.

"Was it Arishem's judgement?" Thena asked me worriedly, while her voice also sounds a little angry. And without saying a word, I just nodded towards her.

The experience went really quick for me to comprehend, and I haven't even taken the time to get up properly.

But luckily, they all see I need help to regenerate myself, as Thena and Makkari are standing up slowly to help me from Druig's sudden catch.

I groaned in pain when the two Eternals got me up, knowing Druig slowed down the fall, but it made him still groan in pain when I turned around to look at him.

"Are you okay?" I asked him worriedly, as he made my heart beat faster as I thought he broke a bone or something.

But luckily Druig can only smile towards me, nodding his head in the process of standing up, before taking over the wheel from Thena and Makkari again. He's bringing me towards a table, to slowly put me onto it, in order for me to calm down.

Because of these Eternals taking care of me, I am starting to calm down soon enough, when Thena's and Makkari's gazes are staring into me, still wanting to know what happened. Druig on the other hand, is only stroking my back with his hand, trying to comfort me in his way.

But with what I just experienced, I can only imagine what Arishem is doing to the others right now.

"Arishem, he has taken Sersi, Phastos and Kingo to the World Forge, traveling through a black hole in space to get there." I sighed, as I am still trying to calm down from this. However, when I explained myself, they all started to look at me worriedly.

Nonetheless, it made Makkari suddenly walk towards the golden globe in the middle of the lab, still projecting Earth. I can't focus on her, because there are certainly questions coming from the left and right at the same time.

"How did he not take you?" Druig asked me worriedly. I am questioning the same thing to be honest, but it's certain Arishem's power is not to be joked with when you meet him.
