I hear the waves softly crashing onto the shore, as Sersi and I are walking towards the beach. It was a long walk, as I decided to not teleport us, to save my strength in the process.
And besides, Sersi needed to dry her tears before we could join the others. He wasn't my boyfriend, but there are other things that makes me also miss Ikaris a little.
He was a pain in the ass, I'll have to be honest, but Ajak didn't die for nothing. Somehow, she still trusted him.
It makes me miss Ajak even more. I truly want to let her know we succeeded in stopping the Emergence, but I guess I can only imagine it.
It was a journey with a lot of dilemmas, pain, suffering, but also love, happiness, and dreaming about this beautiful planet. It's all I could've wished for.
During the walk, Sersi talked me through her experience. My calculations were right; she still has a little energy left from the Uni-Mind, making her suit glowing gold.
We both felt Tiamut joining the Emergence, like I've thought so, as I also explained my conversation with Tiamut to Sersi, when I took over control.
Anyhow, Sersi thanked me for being there along the way, supporting and standing by her side every step of the journey, which I'm grateful for. I guess it's just part of my mission, but you know how everything has changed.
The sun is now really beginning to set on the beach, as a frozen statue in the sea is coming into my sight. It's also becoming a lot colder, because the day is turning into an evening slowly.
At the beach are Thena, Makkari and Phastos, which made me smile already when I spotted Thena staring towards the statue in the sea from a distance.
I know she has succeeded in her mission, killing the Deviant Kro, as I hope she can find her peace now.
Makkari hugged Sersi tightly when both of us came into their sight, as Phastos turned around to look at me delighted.
It made my heart beat faster in an instant to see him unharmed, as he also hugged me tightly, feeling his warmth against my skin.
I guess it's a relief to see all of them here, psychically, but still not all of them. I don't know where Druig is, and Sprite, but they will be here probably soon.
When Phastos released me from our hug, he looked at me suprisingly, but still confused somehow, and I know exactly what he's thinking.
We had a back up plan, but we never thought the Uni-Mind was actually going to work again.
"I thought the main plan had failed after you and Druig almost died, but how..?" He asked me confusingly, unable to finish his sentence properly, but I only smiled towards him and waved to Sersi silently, knowing she's the one who experienced it all.
He quickly enough turned himself towards Sersi, also hugging her because of seeing her unharmed, as I made my way towards Makkari. The speedster made my heart beat faster, seeing her also being okay after what happened.
We hugged each other tightly in silence, as I hear a soft sigh coming from her. I don't have to say anything else, but to know we are both okay.
"How did you do it?" Phastos asked Sersi interested, as they're standing opposite from each other, making them talk about the Uni-Mind Phastos thought was a lost cause.
It made me let go of Makkari, to slowly walk towards Thena, and the goddess of war is feeling my presence soon enough, while I give the others time to talk about what happened.
From all of the Eternals, I guess me and Gilgamesh did know best what Thena had gone through, maybe even Ajak, because I wasn't there all the time.
And by seeing her shine bright because of the sun that's letting her skin glow, I know she defeated her demons, making Mahd Wy'ry just a myth.
