Chapter 23: Meet The Fastest Woman In The Universe

We are slowly walking through the dark halls of the Domo, while it's still flying in the air on the site where we found it. However, Sprite made it disappear with her illusions, because otherwise people are going to find this enormous spaceship anyhow.

The Domo looks very dark inside, as the walls and ceiling are all black with little symbols of their cosmic energy, but it doesn't change the fact it's not that clean how I remembered it was when Druig brought me in his memories. For example, back in Babylon.

The halls are filled with objects like books, remainings of empty packages of food, and I don't even have to look at the Eternals' faces to see them confused whenever they observe it. They don't remember their spaceship being this filled with stuff from the humans.

I haven't seen the entire Domo yet, like the other rooms or maybe the dorms of the Eternals, because as of right now, we are walking towards the headquarters of the Domo. It's also Phastos' lab, where he creates his technology to help humankind in advance.

I only remember this from Druig's memories, so that's the only room I got to see inside the Domo. However, I'm very curious how it looks now, as I already see a lot of stuff scattered on the floor, walking towards the lab in the first place.

"A forboding atmosphere fills the air." Kingo suddenly started, scanning the hallway at the same time in a weird way, while the rest of us slowly walked after him. At the same time, Karun grabbed his camera again to film Kingo.

I don't know what in the hell he's about to do, and the rest of the Eternals probably have the same question. It's probably for his documentary again, as they do this a lot during this journey.

"An eerie stillness chokes our lungs." Kingo continued in a very creepy way, and suddenly keeps staring at the camera like he's possessed.

However, it makes me laugh a little because of the way he's doing it, while the others still have their focus on the hallway, but there's one of them who isn't appreciating what Kingo does.

"What are you doing? You know you're creeping us out. You know that, right?" Phastos warned Kingo, but instead of totally warning the Bollywood star, a sudden loud bang erupted inside of this quiet hallway, making my heart lump into my throat, and grabbing Druig's hand in the mids of it.

At the same time, it isn't just my heart that almost jumped outside of my body, but also the screams of Phastos. Still, besides the screams, it's kinda funny to see him scared.

"Oh! Oh god! Stay calm T, please..!" Phastos muttered loudly, while he looked scared towards Thena.

Phastos thought there was a kind of danger coming towards them, but it wasn't totally like that. However, Thena only looked to the inventor like she has no idea what is going on.

Then, Phastos looked down, to see Thena who just stepped with her foot on an empty bag of chips, causing the loud bang inside the hallway.

Everyone isn't bothered, but Phastos, and kind of me also, even if I didn't say anything. Luckily, I sighed a little bit in relief, relaxing my heartbeat because I now know what it was that caused the loud noise.

"Chips. It's just chips." Phastos immediately chuckled, when he realised what it was, and grabbed the empty bag from the floor, looking at the camera with it.

It was a hilarious moment that went too fast for me to comprehend, but besides that, me being scared is a good reason to stay close to Druig, as I still hold his hand.

"Well, I keep you safe m'lady, even in these dumb ass circumstances." I suddenly heard Druig inside of my head, making me chuckle immediately as I feel his eyes staring at me, and at the same time, my heart beating faster because of hearing his voice in my head again.
