So maybe keeping a relationship a secret at work was harder than they thought.

The boys started to notice the looks they gave each other, the giggles Daisy would give whilst in lee's office. Plus lee being covered in Daisy's lipstick kinda gave it away. No one confronted the pair about it, instead they just accepted the fact.

Who were they to deny a couple in love?

Sunday was a church day

Daisy had decided to stay home after what happened with Tommy and her pa. She wasn't ready to face anyone yet.

As per usual lee was working, Sundays were always slow and steady. Most family's would be praising the lord. Lee was sat at his desk staring at a black suede ring box in his hand. Sat between the cushions was a gold ring. The diamond shining in the light.

He couldn't believe after six months he had bought a ring but he couldn't help himself. Daisy was the one for him, he wanted his future with her. He was pulled out of his thoughts by the phone on his desk. Grabbing it immediately, incase it was daisy. "Bodecker" he announced.

"Sheriff, you need to go find daisy now" Collins spoke in a hurry. "Why what's going on?" He asked, trying to stay calm for his own health.

" There's some erm.... Intimate photographs of you and miss Daisy. It's, it's caused quite a commotion" he stumbled over his words. How was he supposed to say there was pictures of lee and daisy having sex all over the notice board.

Lee slammed the phone down, leaving the station faster than he ever had before. He had to get to Daisy before anything happened to her. George would flip when he found out. Not only is his little girl dating the 'no good son of a gun' sheriff, she was sleeping with him.

The preacher was doing his best to try and defuse the situation. Trying to usher everyone in side. "Please everyone let's go inside and pray for that poor girls soul" he announced to his flock. Collins gave him a 'really' look, the preacher just shrugged. The tactic worked as they all filtered through the thin door way.

Once the situation was defused, Collins took down the photos without looking. Neither lee or Daisy deserved this. They deserved to live their life in peace, they were both happy and in love why did it matter?

But apparently it did.

Daisy ran to her front door, who the hell was banging so loud it would wake the dead?
Pulling the door open to reveal lee. He looked distressed and knackered. I don't think he's ever moved this fast in his life. "Lee what the hell? What's wrong?" She questioned, placing a hand on his shoulder.

He took a deep breath "Daisy, we gotta go now" he grabbed he hand pulling her out the door. "woah lee, slow down. What's going on?" She asked pulling the door closed behind her. God she hoped her pa was too drunk to have woken up. "Please Daisy just trust me" he begged, he looked scared.

Wait... the sheriff Lee Bodecker scared? This must be something very serious for him to be freaking out like this. "Lee I can't just run away with ya" she sighed, Daisy wasn't willing to do anything unless she knew what was going on. If this was as serious as it looked she wanted to know.

Lee wrapped his arms around her tiny frame, holding her close to him "please" he whispered, his voice cracking. If he wasn't going to explain himself she wasn't going anywhere with him. Yes she trusted him with her life but to run away and leave.

She needed a reason.
A bloody good reason.

"I'll see you tomorrow sheriff" she smiled sadly as she closed the door, hearing lee shout "shit" from the other side of the door. She took in a deep breath before continuing to cook breakfast.

A greasy fry up always helped with the hang overs. Personally all the grease made Daisy sick but if it eased the banging in george's head, she'd cook a thousand fry ups. She could hear his loud steps coming down the stairs.

Tossing everything on a plate, she turned off the stove and began filling the sink. She didn't hear the plate or cutlery being picked up. Instead just his steps getting closer to her.

Daisy ignored his hot breath on her neck, she knew better than to aggravate him in this state. Suddenly she couldn't breath.

Opening her eyes to see water, the pressure of george's hand holding her head down. Her arms flailed around, not like that was helping at all. George held her under ear the water, watching the air from her lungs float to the surface in bubbles.

In pure panic, Daisy felt something under her hand. She gripped it tightly throwing it behind her. The pressure on her releasing in an instant. Her head flew to the surface, coughing and taking in deep breaths. Her soaked long hair dripping down her dress.

She turned around, gripping the kitchen counter for support. Her pa lying on the ground, a trickle of blood running down his forehead. The frying pan she had just hit him with smearing s trail across the floor, where it slid.

Weirdly she didn't feel guilty for hitting him, not like she felt when she killed Tommy. She briefly closed her eye to help steady her breathing. George grunted as he started to emerge from his temporary slumber.

She knew in that moment
She had to run
