"are you sure about this?" Collins asked as he finished his morning coffee.
"What else can I do?" Daisy asked as she swirled around what was left in her mug.

"You can stay with us" Collins suggested
"Lord knows I need the help" Peggy quickly added on with baby Avery in her arms as she scrubbed the kitchen side.

Daisy smiled, for the first time since lee she felt like she had a family. "It's kind of ya, but I need to do this" she explained, downing her coffee in one before picking up her packed bag.

" At least let me drive ya to the station" Collins insisted before pulling on his coat. Daisy hugged peggy and Avery before she left for a new life. Peggy bolted to the table to pick up the mug wearing her rubber wash gloves.

Placing the mug in a plastic bag.

Three weeks had past since Daisy left. Lee had well and truly gone off the rails. He was drinking and abusing the drugs again. Back to his usual spot at the strip club. He never looked at the girls, he just wanted to be somewhere that didn't remind him of daisy.

The new receptionist was crap, she wasn't organised and loved to pop gum.

Lee was hiding in his office, littered with candy wrappers and the reminants of a line of coke on his desk. He was definitely licking his wounds.

With out warning his office door flew open and slammed shut "I know your my superior but with all due respect lee, your an idiot!" Collins expressed as he paced back and forth.

"You better had a damn good reason for talking to me like that" lee growled as he slammed his hands on the desk Infront of him. The photo of Daisy wearing a dress lee bought for her birthday falling face first.

He quickly picked up the photo inspecting the glass frame

"Lee! I can't wear this!" Daisy expressed from behind the bathroom door. Lee chucked "come one sugar let me look?" Lee asked as he finished buttoning up his shirt

The door clicked open "I look like a cheep whore" daisy whispered as she tried to cover herself with her arms. The tight dress clearly not her style

The dress hugged every curve of daisys body and the bright pink make her eyes sparkle even more. Lee just had to have the dress after taking daisy to the pictures to watch 'gentlemen prefer blondes'

"Darlin' you look stunning, a curvy version of Marlyin herself. And you know how I like my women" lee explained, running his hands over her hips and placing a soft kiss to her exposed shoulder

"You don't really believe that bullshit do you lee?" Collins asked "a father and his daughter have a special connection. Hell I should know I felt it the moment I laid my eyes on my baby girl. But you and Daisy that's pure love right there" he explained pushing a white envelope across the desk.

"I don't need you lecturing me, I got my ma to do that" he grumbled walking over to the window. "Open the god damn envelope and that's an order!" Collins commanded

He was tired of lee's bullshit, there was no reason stopping him from being with the woman he loved. He was nothing with out and everyone could tell.

The sheriff was moody, angry and most of all either drunk or high. Lee thurned to give the young deputy a scowl. Collins swallowed the lump in his throat.

Lee marched back over to his desk, this better be good or Collins was going to thrown out of his office and jobless at that.

Just as lee ripped the letter open his phone rang, no one called him on that line except Daisy. He was too high to care.

"What?"

"Yes this is sheriff Bodecker"

"Daisy? Well yes I'm her... Next of kin"

"Is she alive?!"

"I'll be right there"
