A year

A year had flown by and so much had happened in 12 months. Death, love, births, it was like a rollercoaster ride. Daisy's business was busy with alterations and one-off custom orders. Lee had finally cleaned up all the mess from the break in, and got an ear full for not storing crucial evidence correctly.

He didn't care as it meant that Daisy was safe and the truth was finally buried. The death of Tommy would forever be a mystery. On the other hand the attempted murder of Daisy was still being investigated. Maggie was released, Lee had a gut feeling that she was telling the truth. But it was still a mystery of who would try to harm her. Daisy was the sweetest girl who never harmed anyone. It just made no sense. He was 100% sure that it was no coincidence, that she wasn't just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maggie's truck was used to frame her, but who would have the motivation. This person must be the some one who was taking all these photos, but still why?

The pair continued life as usual, work, sex, sleep, repeat. How Daisy wasn't pregnant yet was a mystery to her, with all the sex she and Lee were having. She sat on the bed looking down at the floor, "you ok darlin?" Lee asked as he was struggling with his tie in the mirror. "Do you think this is a good idea?" She questioned not tearing her eyes away from the floor, Lee sighed in defeat. Pulling the silk tie from his neck and on to the floor. turning his attention to Daisy, "You look beautiful" He complimented with a smile, dropping to his knees in front of her. "My own stunning Marylin" running his thumb over her cheek. Lee had convinced her to wear the bright pink dress he bought her months ago. It felt a little more snug to Daisy than it did before. The only real form of working out that she was doing was sex at the moment.

There was a party, for what Daisy had no idea. But she had to get all dressed up as per Lee's request. Even Lee was dressed in his best shirt, finally with his tie that Daisy had to tie for him. Bundled into his truck, watching the street lights as they drove down the streets. Daisy didn't ask as she knew lee wouldn't tell her anything. He was humming along to the radio as he drove. Lee pulled in to a parking lot before getting out of the truck, walking around to open the door for her. She couldn't help but giggle as she had to wiggle her hips to move along the seat.

Lee placed his hands on her hips and lifted her to the ground, when she met the edge of the seat. But something wasn't right, Lee couldn't look her in the eyes. He walked ahead of her rather than by her side. The door to the diner almost smacking her in the face as she followed in behind him. "SURPRISE!" Everyone in the diner shouted as Daisy jumped.

"What the hell?" she asked, her friends, colleagues and others stood before her. "Lee what the" Daisy turned towards him but was distracted by the sight before her. Clamping her hands over her mouth in surprise. Lee was down on one knee smiling up at her. This was it, it was the moment she had been dreaming of since they first started dating. Becoming Mrs Bodecker and starting the football team sized family Lee wanted.

He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a black box. Lifting the lid to reveal a sparkly diamond ring.

"Daisy I know it's only been a year, but I love ya more than I could ever explain. Will you marry me?"
