Once Daisy had calmed down Lee had convinced her to take a bath, well she had to get all that blood off her some how.

After lee had disposed of her dress he heard light sobs coming from the bathroom. "You ok sugar?" He asked, what a stupid question of course she wasn't ok. She just killed someone.

She didn't respond to him, she just continues to cry. Lee entered the room and the sight broke his heart. Daisy had her legs tucked up to her chest, her face hidden between her knees. The water she sat in now a pale brown.

She jumped when she felt a warm hand on her cold skin, "only me sugar" he whispered, reaching into the tub to pull the plug. He inspected her body but not in a sexual way, blood still stained her pale skin.

Placing the plug back in its hole, lee filled the tub up again with warm water. He rolled up the sleeves on his shirt before grabbing a wash cloth. Smoothing the fabric over each of her fingers, running over her palms and wrists.

Daisy let him wash her body, she didn't care right now. She felt numb to any emotion she could have. All she could feel was lee's touch and her eyes stinging from all the salty tears she had cried.

Once more he drained the tub when she was fully clean, scooping her up in his arms. Lee didn't care that his shirt was now soaking wet through. He placed her back on her feet, making sure she was sable before letting go.

Lee took one of his night shirts he had left out for her and started to dress her. Daisy didn't care that she was naked right now or if Lee was looking at her body. It took all of his will power not to perv on her. She was a fragile China doll, one false move and she could break.

Placing both her arms in the sleeves of the shirt, he pulled it over her shoulders. Moving in front of her to button it up, Daisy watched his fingers popping each button closed. She gave a soft smile.

No one had ever taken the time to care or comfort her. When Dianna died she was thrown into the world of being an adult. No one ever tip toed around the subject around her, always so blunt and to the point.

She couldn't help but think back to the night her ma died. She too was attacked in the woods. Daisy now understood the fear her ma must have felt, that no matter how loud you scream no one was going to come save you.

Lee was the one who found Diana's body. The young deputy sat in his cruiser with a girl who he couldn't remember her name. He didn't care as long as he finished and it was all in the Pepsi cup.

He heard a disturbance in the trees ahead, leaving his girl behind he went to investigate.
Dianna's lifeless body.
Bruising around her neck, her womanhood exposed the cold night air.
Yes Dianna could be a bitch but she didn't deserve this.

Lee remembers pulling down her skirt to give her some modesty before calling it in. They never did find who did it.

Opening the door, lee held out his hand for her to take but she couldn't move
It was like she was glued to the spot unable to move. She felt her feet leave the ground, resting her head on lee's shoulder as her carried her to his bed room. Daisy closed her eyes listening to his heart beating.

She could feel sleep trying to pull her under but her brain had other ideas...

Was she going to go to jail?
When would they find his body?
Would lee leave her for what she did?

No lee loves her right? I mean he confessed not even an hour ago. Gently he placed her on his bed. He pulled the duet over her, tucking it around her body. Brushing a few stray hairs of her face, placing a kiss on her forehead. She had finally stopped shaking, weather it be from the adrenaline or cold water she had been sat in.

He smiled weakly at her, Daisy looked like she was deep in space. She hadn't spoken a single word since they entered lee's home. He knew she was going to get no sleep what so ever tonight.

Deciding to give her the day off tomorrow. She's had enough trauma in a short amount of time to last anyone a life time. Why did it have to be her? Why his beautiful Daisy? If he could take all her pain away he would. He would even take a bullet for her.

As he turned to walk away, her hand shot out from under the sheets. Grabbing hold of his wrist "Lee, would ya sleep with me tonight?" She asked barely above a whisper. All she knew was she didn't want to be alone right now.

"Of course sugar, let me turn out the lights" he explained before leaving the room. Turning off the lights as fast as he could, returning to a still wide awake Daisy.

He climbed into bed with her, not caring he was still fully dressed. As soon as he was settled next to her, she clung onto his body like a koala. "Now this what we're gonna do" lee began "Last night I called you to come by the station to help with a pile of urgent papers. You was with me all night right?" The serious tone in his voice meant he wasn't playing, this was serious.

"Right" Daisy squeaked, she trusted lee with her life. "You didn't want to wake your pa, so you stayed the night with me" he concluded a solid alibi for the pair of them. "You think they will believe it?" She asked quickly glancing up at him.

"Sugar, I'm the sherif of course they will"
