"Lee! Why the hell is there a tree in the livin' room?!" Daisy yelled at the top of her voice. The forest green tree standing where her chair once sat.
"Well it is Christmas sugar" he explained trying to get his tie straight in the mirror. He couldn't convince her to join him for the station party. Daisy stood her ground, conveniently changing the subject every time he brought it up.
"Don't explain the tree" she sassed with her hands on her hips. Lee always forgot she didn't have a fantastic childhood. Loosing her ma at such a young age she didn't grow up with the childhood, most kids had.
Lee sighed walking over to her. He pushed a strand behind her ear before smiling. "I wanted our first Christmas to be special darlin" he explained "you know there's still time if ya wanna join me tonight?"
A twinkle of hope in his eyes. He wanted nothing more than her to run up to their room, throw on the most extravagant dress she owned, and him show her off to everyone.
That may of happened in his mind but it deffinatly didn't happen in real life.
"I ain't feeling too good" she explained walking away to the kitchen. Daisy had been down in the dumps ever since she looked at the theirs negative pregnancy test.
This time she was sure, she had a gut feeling she was with child. Lee kept telling her that it will happen naturally, when the time is right. An answer she wasnt going to accept.
"Just a few beers and I'll be home" he spoke grabbing his coat before closing the door behind him. The second the door shut, Daisy burst into tears. She felt like she was filling lee with faulse hope and letting him down.
Since she got out of the hospital she was convinced the crash did more damage than the doctors were telling her.
She cried for what felt like hours before there was a knock at the door. She assumed that Lee either left his key behind or was drunk.
Either way she wasn't angry at him, but glad to have him home. Daisy quickly wiped away her tears before straitening her dress.
She pulled open the door with a smile before her eyes met who was on her door step "what the fuck do you want?"
Lee felt like a little lost sheep with out Daisy with him. having to explain multiple times that she didn't feel well was getting boring. The second pint he has just finished was not satisfying him.
He needed a hit, a strong one. Looking over at the women congregated at the bar, then over to the toilets. His eyes flickered back and forth before he made his choice.
Grabbing his jacket, lee slipped out the bar with out being noticed. He wasn't his usual life and soul of the party anyway. Wanting nothing more than to hold daisy in his arms.
He made it all the way back to the cruiser before Collins came running up behind him, slightly out of breath. "I'm sorry sheriff, but we have an update on who hit Miss Belle"
