The station was in panic mode.
A break in which happened in the middle of the night. Multiple pieces of evidence missing. Not that they knew that yet. Officers were busy filing through every piece of evidence and its corresponding paper work.
It was going to take them days to sift through everything. Lee was going to get it in the neck from his superior about this. But honestly he didn't care. Deputy Collins was over seeing the whole operation whilst Lee had more pressing matters to attend to. "Lunch time boys!" Daisy shouted from the door way holding a large picnic basket, "What are you doing here?" Collins asked with a smile as he placed his clip board down on a desk.
"Lee told me what happened, I knew you'd all be too busy to eat so here I am" She smiled wandering into the break room. Daisy placed the basket down and began to empty it on to the table. All the officers on shift helped them selves to her handmade food. They all thanked and complimented her for her kind gesture before getting back to work. "How bad is it?" She asked, Collins was the last to leave the room. He sighed, "Not good, there's guns, drugs and, vital evidence missing"
Daisy smiled to herself as she left the station, knowing the blood stained pink dress was currently in her fireplace at home. Reduced to ashes.
"Cut the crap Maggie!" Lee raised his voice as he paced back and forth. Maggie sat at a table in front of him. She had been pleading for the last fifteen minutes that she was innocent. That she had nothing to do with the hit and run of Daisy. Maggie was jealous of her, she didn't want to kill her. "Lee I swear my truck was stolen an the next morning it was back! I figured it was just kids" Maggie explained. Lee just groaned, feeling like he was going around in circles. "This isn't over, none of this is!" Lee stormed out frustrated.
He made his way to his office noticing a bag on his desk, He closed the door and locked it behind him before taking a seat. "can't have you boys going hungry" written on the bag, Daisy. She was always looking after him. He smiled, could this girl be anymore perfect? This motivated Lee to put this while thing to an end. More photo's of Daisy sucking his cock had been published in the local paper and on billboards, But no one made a fuss over it. The residents of Knockemstiff had excepted that fact Daisy and Lee were an item. All though it was all out of wed lock, it wasn't anything that someone hadn't done before.
Slowly the letters and threats ground to a halt, But was it the calm before the storm? who ever was doing this wasn't going to go quietly. Lee had to be one step ahead and had a plan. Could he trust anyone? no. Was Daisy going to hate this plan? most defiantly.
After closing the shop Daisy made her way home. Lee had already phoned to say he was going to be late home, with the break in and everything. She cooked a meal for two and placed a cover of Lee's portion, ready to heat when he finally came home. But some thing wasn't right, She felt light headed and the sudden urge to throw up washed over her. putting it down to the fact even though she had fed the whole police station she had forgotten to eat her self. Sitting down to eat the meal, the feeling of nausea subsided but the light headedness remained. Taking her plate to the sink she filled a cup with cold water. Drinking it in one and re filling it.
Daisy took the cup with her to bed and crawled into it. Thinking a nap would help her feel better.
A person paced back and forth in their basement. They were out of moves. Lee was still alive and with Daisy. Splitting them up worked but they wanted Lee dead. that way He could never touch their daughter ever again.
