(Y/N POV)
Thor finishes telling you and Loki everything they have found out so far about who Sarah really is.  Your mind is racing, flooding with random memories of the two of you together over the years.  Going to concerts on weekends, spending late nights studying, training for hours on end.  It doesn’t make any sense, you’ve known her so long, how could you never have actually known her?  After a few minutes of trying to process in silence, you say, “I want to see her.”

“What? Why?” Thor asks.

“I want to see her,” you tell him again.

Loki puts his hand on your arm, “Y/n, are you sure?”

You nod but don’t say anything else.

Loki sighs, looks at Thor and says, “Can you talk to Rogers about setting it up?  I would feel better if Barnes and him went in with her.”

Thor nods knowing it's useless to argue with you, “I’ll let you know what he says." Then he leaves the room. You and Loki sit in silence again, both lost in your own thoughts.

(LOKI POV)
You and Thor stand in a small room behind a piece of one-way glass.  Steve opens the door of the interrogation room and Bucky follows behind Y/N who pushes herself in her wheelchair.  Sarah is sitting in a chair behind the table in the middle of the room.  She’s handcuffed and chained to the center of the table.  You know there is no way Sarah can hurt Y/N physically, but you can’t shake the feeling that this is a bad idea.  What good could come from this?

Y/N sits across the table from Sarah in silence for a few minutes and a part of you hopes she will just turn around and leave but you know Y/N would never do that.

"They're going to send you to the Raft tomorrow," Y/N tells Sarah.

Sarah nods and looks down, "I know."

"I don't understand, why would you do this? How could you join Hydra after everything they did? Was everything you've said and done all these years a lie?” Y/N asks, looking straight at Sarah.

Sarah looks at Y/N, “Not all of it.”  She shakes her head and looks down at her handcuffed hands.  Then she looks at the one-way glass window and says, “I never lied to Loki about how I felt, I did love him. He knows I'm telling you the truth about that.”

You don’t want to hear this but you can’t leave.  You know she isn't lying, but that just makes her betraying your trust even worse.

“I know he’s here, he never would have let you come otherwise.  Even with your two... bodyguards,” she says, still looking at you even though she can’t see you.

“If you really did love him, you never would have used him like that,” Y/N says, defending you like she did so often recently.  You still weren’t used to that feeling, when someone you cared about stood up for you.

“You have no idea what you are talking about Y/N,” Sarah said angrily.

“Then tell me, make me understand because right now I’m at a lose as to what is going on,” Y/N told her.

Sarah sighed and crossed her arms.

"They are sending you away for life tomorrow no matter what. This is your last chance for Loki or anyone else to hear what you have to say," Y/N says, confirming for Sarah that you are here.

She looks up at the glass again with a small smile, but you look down at your feet.  You feel Thor’s hand on your shoulder but he doesn't say anything.  Sometimes you really did appreciate having him around, even if you didn't ever tell him that.

Sarah starts, “As soon as Loki joined the team, Marc contacted me and said they needed me to get close to him.  I was supposed to be his friend and then maybe go on a few dates with him.  It was only supposed to go on until I could figure out how to get his passcodes, that was it.”
