(LOKI POV)
“Absolutely not!” Steve says loudly, standing at the head of the table.

“Steve just listen to me-” Y/N tries to argue back.

You, Y/N and Thor had shown up almost twenty minutes late to the discussion about incident on the Raft. When you walked in, Tony demanded to know what took so long. Y/N explained that a few minutes after you had gotten the message  she had received a call from an unknown number and it turned out to be Sarah. According to Sarah, Hydra had blackmailed two guards into aiding the escape and she was on her way back to New York with Marc and the others that were freed. Y/N said Sarah had been whispering, telling her that Marc didn’t know she was calling. Sarah begged Y/N to meet with her, alone because she wanted out, she was ready to turn on Hydra if SHEILD could promise her safety. Y/N asked how they could meet if Sarah couldn’t get away from Marc but the call dropped. As they got out of the elevator, Y/N got a text from the same number with a date, a time and a location but nothing else.

“No Y/N, Cap is right. I’m sorry but the decision is final,” Stark says in a stern voice.

Y/N stands and looks around the room, “How could you make a decision like that? We didn’t even discuss it.”

“There’s nothing to discuss, this is just common sense Y/N,” Banner chimes in.

“I know she used to be your friend and you still think there is some good in her, but there isn’t,” Clint says. “She’s a spy for Hydra, Y/N. You need to remember that.”

“If I was her, this would be an elaborate way to get to you for some reason. Who know what they would do to you once they got you alone,” Nat agrees.

“I know it might be a trap but-” she still continues to argue.

You stand next to her and take her hand, causing her to pause. She looks at you for support in her argument but you shake you head. You touch her cheek with your other hand and make her look at you. “Y/N, listen to me please. You can’t meet with Sarah alone. Widow is right, we need to assume this is a trap for you, she has already made it more than clear that she wants to hurt you,” you tell her.  She tries to look away from you but you keep eye contact with her. “I don’t want you to get hurt again... or worse. I can’t lose you, Y/N,” you try to make her understand.

She nods slowly, closing her eyes you kiss her forehead. “I still think you are right though, we do need to find out what she wants,” you tell her.

“How do you propose we do that Reindeer Games? We already agreed we can’t send Y/N,” Stark says.

“It’s quite simple really, I’ll go,” you suggest.

“Nice try, but she asked for Y/N, not you,” Sam says, crossing his arms.

You roll your eyes and let your magic create a green glow around you. Your appearance soon matches Y/N’s exactly.

“Ooh... that is freaky,” she says looking at you.

She comes closer, inches from your face and pokes you in the cheek. You laugh a little and your voice comes out as her own, “What do you think?”

“I- Ok, that could actually work,” Clint says.

Thor stands up, “Of course it will work. You all underestimate Loki’s powers even though he has proven himself time and time again. I have no doubt he can match   her mannerisms as well as her appearance easily enough. No one would be able to suspect it wasn’t her.”

Thor looked at you while he spoke and you nodded in appreciation as he stood up for your abilities. You think back to your time together that morning.
