(Y/N POV)
You open the door to Loki’s room and ask him if needs anything as he heads towards the couch. “No, I just want to rest,” he says taking a seat on the end of the couch, where he always sits.“Are you sure? I could-” you walk towards the kitchenette. He had assured you that he was fine in the infirmary and you knew he was but your mind kept replaying the sounds of the mission. You had heard Loki when he was stabbed and even though he was a God, your thoughts were filled with horrible images.
“Y/N, sit,” he interrupts you and taps the seat next to him.
You don’t say anything and go to sit with him. He puts an arm around you, pulling you close to him. You give in and lean against him, holding onto him tightly. After a minute or two of silence you finally say something. “I-I was really worried about you,” you tell him quietly as you rest your head on his shoulder.
“I know,” he runs his fingers through your hair slowly. “I’m sorry I scared you but I promise you I’m fine. I heal quickly, it was barely bleeding by the time we landed,” he says and you look up at him. “By morning, there won’t even be a scar.”
You start to feel a little better as he reassures you again that he is ok. “Steve has this ridiculous rule that if you get hurt on a mission, you have to go to the infirmary. If he didn’t, I wouldn’t have even bothered to go,” he tells you.
You can’t help but laugh a little and roll your eyes, “How rude of him to want everyone to get checked out if they get injured.”
Loki smiles and nods, “My thoughts exactly.” You rest your head on his chest and he keeps his arms around you for a moment longer.
“Y/N, look at me,” he says quietly and you do. He strokes your cheek slowly and and looks in your eyes as he speaks, “There’s nothing that would keep me from coming back to you, I promise.”
“Loki, I lo-” you start but for some reason you stop yourself, almost biting your tongue as you do. Instead you put your hand on the back of his neck, pulling his lips to yours. You kiss him slowly at first but he quickly deepens the kiss. You pull him towards you and lay back on the couch, he shifts so he is on top of you. You keep kissing him, one hand in his hair and the other on his back. He bites your lower lip gently then kisses his way up your jaw and then down your neck.
(LOKI POV - the next morning)
You lay on your back in bed reading, one hand holding the book and the other arm holding Y/N who is pressed tightly against your side. You were used to getting up early to workout or practice your magic but lately you found yourself staying in bed and reading until Y/N needed to wake up. You just didn’t want to let go of her until the absolute last minute.Y/N’s phone beeps loudly and she groans as she pulls the covers tightly over herself and moves closer to you. You laugh to yourself at how cute she looks when she first gets up. You realized pretty quickly that Y/N was far from a morning person, always clinging to you and asking for more time. You kiss her forehead as you reach over her and grab the phone so you can turn it off. “Good morning darling, time to get up,” you say quietly to her.
She just shakes her head no and refuses to move from under the covers. You run your hands up and down her back slowly and whisper, “We get to watch Steve & Tony interrogate Marc today.”
She quickly props herself on her elbow, resting her other arm on your chest so she can look up at you. She’s been dying to find out what Marc knows since she had located him. “Do you think he will tell us anything?” she asks you, now fully awake.
You shrug a little, “I don’t think he will be as talkative as Sarah was but Steve & Tony won’t send him to the raft without getting everything they can out of him.”
