You follow Loki down the hall back to the empty room next to his. The planning meeting with him and Nat took longer than you had expected. The three of you had discussed every detail over and over, trying to make sure you hadn’t missed anything. By the time you were done, it was almost 8PM. You were exhausted and had to leave at 6AM the next morning so you agreed to spend the night at the Tower again.
When the meeting was over, Nat offered you some clothes to sleep in and a new SHIELD uniform to wear. As tired as you were, you were also completely wired. You were full of nervous energy about tomorrow.
When you both reached your rooms, Loki paused for a moment and said “Goodnight,” before disappearing into his room. He didn’t wait for you to respond before he closed his door, leaving you in the hallway alone.
You open the door to your room, the last time you spend the night you barely looked around the room. You were so tired, after your long day of work you accidently spent almost 2 hours in the Kitchen with Steve, Bucky & Thor. By the time you got to the room you just passed out.
You lean against the closed door and look around, it really was bigger than your apartment. When you first enter the room, there was a small foyer space with hooks on the wall for coats and a table to put mail or keys. Once through that, you come into the living area. It was spacious, there was a couch and a loveseat around a coffee table. The TV was on the opposite wall and it was larger than the one you had bought yourself. To one side was the kitchenette. It had a small fridge, sink, microwave and quite a few cabinets. There was no food but the cabinets were stocked with dishes and utensils.
There was also a small nook by the window where an arm chair and end table were set. It looks like the perfect place to sit and read a book, you think to yourself. The bedroom was much larger than yours, it held a king size bed, two nightstands and a long dresser. You were lucky that you were able to get a full bed and one nightstand in your room. You sat on the bed and thought about how everything you owned had to be squeezed into your small closet at home. If you lived here, you wouldn’t have enough clothes to fill the walk-in-closet, never mind the dresser too.
The rooms were mirror images of each other so your bedroom shared a wall with Loki’s bedroom and your living area was against the living area for Steve’s room. As much as you weren’t thrilled about being so close to Loki, you would jump on the chance to move here permanently if they offered it to you. You were a long way off from that but if tomorrow went well you would be one step closer to earning a better position on the team.
Finally you settle in for the night, setting 6 alarms on your phone and climbing into the bed. After a little tossing and turning you slip off to sleep.
(A few hours later)
A loud sound wakes you and for a second you lay in your bed, not quite sure what it was.“Stop! Please, don’t!”
You sit upright, hearing a voice nearby calling for help. You look around the dark room and turn on the lamp.
Its quiet for a few minutes and then you hear it again, “No, please... stop!”
You quickly climb out of the bed and make your way out of your room. You open the door to your room but don’t see anyone, you listen for a minute. It’s quiet but you walk towards Loki’s room anyways.
Standing in front of his door, you put your ear against it. “Please, please...” you could hear him pleading. He sounded so scared, you put your hand on the knob and turned it slowly.
You walk through the dark room and make your way to Loki’s bedroom, not sure what you’ll find when you get there.
He lays on the bed, covers all over the floor. He’s tossing in his sleep, begging whoever is hurting him to stop. As you make your way closer, you start trying to wake him up.
