Chapter 43: Answers

"Well, this is fucking creepy." Riku said, in an unnerved tone. "It's an exact recreation of the room you grew up in?"

"Yeah.." Akira said, thinking back on all the memories. "It seems I was led back home in the end, but in such a sick way. God.."

Akira decided to look around the said room for just a moment, looking over to his bed and seeing on it, a Bear from his childhood that Yuna gave him one night when he was afraid. A Blue Bear with a Moon around its stomach area, and a look of sleepiness in his eyes.

"Holy shit..." Akira said to himself, picking it up and rubbing it's fur. Feeling his mind slip back to that part of his life, and the peace it brought him. Having something to hold to feel safer in the night.

However, when feeling around the stomach area he...felt something firm. Something was in there. Looking closely, he noticed careful stitching in the bears belly. "Guys, I think something's in here."

"What'd you find?" Maeko asked, walking over after investigating a chest nearby.

"Anyone have anything sharp potentially?" Akira asked, as Riku pulled out his butterfly knife. "Someone say Sharp?"

"W-W-DO YOU ALWAYS CARRY THAT?!" Akira asked, in a shocked and terrified tone.

"Why wouldn't I?" Riku shrugged. "Never know when you need to shank a motherfucker."

"That quote alone is extremely concerning." Maeko said, as she looked up to see Mitsuko investigating the closet area.

"Find anything in there?" Maeko asked, as Mitsuko shook his head. "Nope. If I go any deeper in here, I'm probably gonna find Narnia." As Mitsuko came out the closet, Riku took the Bear in his hands.

"Alright, I'll handle this part..." Riku said, as he began cutting into the stomach area of the bear. As his knife hit...something squishy. A splatter sound with the sound of metal being hit, and as Riku pulled the knife out for just a moment...A crimson red color on the knife.

"What the?!" Akira said in shock. "Why's there blood?!"

"That's...strange." Mitsuko said, as he looked closer.

Riku began hesitating, before..he slit into the stomach area deeper.

And opening the crevasse of the incision...Laid something that sent Akira into an immediate panic attack, where all he could do was scream.

[A/N: I just want to let people know this part might unsettle some readers, as it contains gore, and a severe panic attack on Akiras end. Please read with caution, and I'll let you know when it's over.]

Junpeis Heart. His decaying heart, sitting right in the center with a note attached.

In those moments, everyone in that room shouted in fear, Riku dropping the bear right then and there, as...Everyone took notice of how much Akira was backing away screaming. His eyes dialating, his breathing intensifying, sweating profusely. At one point, he was struggling to gasp for air, before a sudden gag was heard from him. The bile rising in his throat from the panic and sight before him, as he ran out trying to control himself.

Mitsuko and Maeko following close behind, as Akira was hunched over, gasping for air. Trying to hold everything in, before his fist slammed into the wall in anger.

Riku on the other hand, had leaned back down to grab and read the note to be sure of what it detailed.

"Hearts much like Chests are a lovely place to hide secrets! Hope you find this gift, and appreciate it very much! I have a more wondrous surprise waiting within that chest! Love, Monodev"
