Chapter 33: Broken

The silence in the trial room was something the group had quite honestly never experienced before. Utter. Silence. Until the sounds of clapping ensued in the room. Monodevs clapping.

"Well my my! What a brutal yet incredible execution! I gotta tell you, the amount of executions we went through to decide the perfect one, and the last one we almost considered was pure shit! This one however! PERFECTION!" Monodev shouted, while cackling.

"Y-You really think this is some game, don't you?!" Akira asked.

"Ehh? Of course it is! You're the Ultimate Gamer, you should be enjoying it especially!" Monodev shouted.

"Who could ever enjoy something so...so...DISTURBING?!" Kentaro shouted, still cringing from the sounds of scrapping bone from the hooks digging into Yutaka.

"Well, I most certainly do and I'm pretty sure the audience outside is eating this right up!" Monodev shouted. "You wouldn't believe how much humanity is beyond enjoying these killing games. They practically flock right to them! Anything to get that thrill they can't find even in their own marriages anymore! Hell, I'm sure there's some who kin that little hat wearing sociopath standing amongst you all!"

"I just wanna go home..." Kioka said through her sobs.

"Well too bad Kiddo! This is your home, so start getting used to it or maybe kill someone sometime and get away with it! Anyways, Tootaloo!" Monodev shouted as him and his guards made their way out of the Trial Room.

Riku before anyone could tell had just walked out silently. As Kioka tried going after him, he snapped.

"DONT. FUCKING FOLLOW ME." He shouted, as Kioka backed down with tears in her eyes. Riku seeing his mistake, quivered and closed his eyes in shame, walking out and not looking back.

"I just...Wanted to help him..." Kioka said.

Lily spoke. "I could crack a joke right about now, but...He's grieving, Kioka. I don't know what those two personally did in the bedroom, but something tells me they had more than some cliche anime love."

Akira looked back to the door. "Riku...I'm sorry.." he thought to himself as Yumico cleared her throat.

"This was...an experience."

"It was horrible, that's what it was." Maeko said. "What's worse is now we have something to worry about.."

"Oh, dear little me? Oh whatever will you all do to contain me?" Raidon snickered.

"We keep a damn close eye on you." Mitsuko said bluntly.

"Ohohoho! You can't do that! Why? Because you can't catch little ol me! I'm the Mad Hatter! I'm here, and I'm over there! It doesn't matter what you do! I'll still escape you realize." Raidon said.

"Then we stay in groups from now on." Yumico said. "As a means to never let Raidon pull another stunt like this again."

"So what exactly would the match ups be?" Kentaro asked.

"Hmm..." Yumico spoke. "Ok. Myself and Barisuta. Riku and Lily."

"OH CMON! I'm stuck with Speed Racer?!" Lily shouted, before getting an idea. Lily got a wonderful...AWFUL idea.

"You know what? I'll take this matchup. Motherfucker needs a tough ass bitch like me to-"

"Actually. Might be best Riku and Kioka, and Kentaro and Lily."

"That leaves Akira and Mitsuko, and then Maeko and Raidon." Yumico announced
